Hi I have been trying to get my head around things, and had a bit of help but now I am stuck. I'm involved with a charity and we use the cloud to share essential information with volunteers. Our previous system, which closed down, allowed us to share files / folders without people having an account. However when I tried to share a folder with one of my test email addresses, it wants me to create a microsoft account, with authenticator. Now while I fully understand the implications of security, the share is literally one folder which they can't edit anyway. Is there any way around this? It's going to cause grief and I believe will put people off. I just want to be able to share a folder that people can access via the link. Thank you for your help.43Views0likes1CommentShare a single folder with multiple viewers

Hello, We have learn about this new possibility to enable the Request Files scenario on OneDrives without also enabling file & folder Anyone links : https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&searchterms=98097 And I see this documentation that I find not very clear : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/create-a-file-request-f54aa7f8-2589-4421-b351-d415fc3b83af#:~:text=Here%27s%20how%20to%20request%20files,they%20get%20the%20file%20request.) I check what is in our tenant. In Sharepoint administration, Anyone link is activate for SharePoint but not for Onedrive. I would like to allow the Request files for everyones onedrive in our tenant but not activate anyone link. It should be possible now. So I did that : Get-SPOTenant |select OneDriveRequestFilesLinkEnabled It's already at True. But Request file are not activate one Onedrive. So I did that for a onedrive : set-sposite -identity "https://contoso-my.sharepoint.com/personal/XXXXXXXXXXXXXX" -RequestFilesLinkEnabled $true And for this Onedrive is now possible to Request files without have Anyone link activate. Did you try on your side? Is it possible to activate it for all onedrive directly?1.4KViews0likes0CommentsOneDrive Share dialog difference between Browser and Desktop
When I click to Share a file from OneDrive in the browser, I get "Only the people you specify who have this link can edit" as the default choice. This is what we expect to see. If I click to Share from my OneDrive folder on my desktop (Win7) I get "Only people who already have access can use this link" as the default. Does anyone know why the defaults are different between browser and desktop?Solved3.1KViews0likes8CommentsShare From Finder Not Working On Mac
Is anyone else having trouble with the Share from Finder function working with your OneDrive/Sharepoint on Mac? Last week I could do this no problem, but I had some syncing issues that required me to reinstall OneDrive, and while my files are now syncing properly, I can no longer share a link to a file directly from my Finder; I have to go into the online Sharepoint folder to get it. Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?8.7KViews0likes9Comments
