New Tab search UI (Ctrl + Shift + A) has changed - how to revert to previous behavior ?
Since the latest Microsoft Edge update, the Tab Search panel opened with Ctrl + Shift + A has changed. It now opens on the side instead of the center, and arrow key navigation no longer works. Only Tab navigation works now. this makes it much harder to use quickly. Is there any way to restore the previous centered Tab Search UI, or re-enable up and down arrow navigation, or undo this specific UI change ? The old version worked perfectly for my workflow. Hi, Whilst looking into something, I was thrown off by a line in a device timeline export, with ActionType of NetworkSignatureInspected, and the content. Microsoft accounts
Hi all. I have a problem with my daughters Microsoft accounts which I'm hoping you can help with. She set up an account for her X Box on my email address (without asking me first) which is preventing me from setting up my own account for Windows. Since then she has also set up a Hotmail account with her own email address. I understand we can set up an alias on the X Box account using her email but will this conflict with the Hotmail account. The problem is she doesn't want to change her gamer tag which was set up on my email address. Any help / advice will be gratefully received. Hey everyone, We heard from many of you the need to be able to change the scope of your modern search results pages. When you create a new communication site or team site in SharePoint Online today, and type into the search box, you are taken to the modern search results page. This page shows results from your current site by default, and allows you to expand the scope of your search to the hub that the current site is associated with (if there is one), or to the whole organization. But there is a desire for being able to change the behavior to always search over the whole organization, or across the hub a site is associated with, without needing an additional click, especially if the site in question will be used as a modern landing page for your organization. I'm happy to say that with the latest version of the SharePoint PnP PowerShell extensions, it is possible to run a simple command as the site owner, and make your site use the organization, or the hub scope by default. To change this setting: 1. Start PowerShell in administrator mode as you will be installing the PnP extensions. 2. Run the following commands to in this order: PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> Install-Module SharePointPnPPowerShellOnline # If you previously had installed this module, you may need to use the "-Force" parameter to install the newer version. PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> Connect-PnPOnline -Url https://contosodemosg.sharepoint.com/sites/Strategy -UseWebLogin # this will prompt you to sign into your site. Use the site owner credentials to sign in PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> $web = Get-PnPWeb PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> $web.SearchScope = 1 # 1 for Tenant, 2 for Hub, 3 for Site, 0 for default behavior PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> $web.Update() PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> Invoke-PnPQuery After running these commands, the site will start to show results from the whole organization. To go back to the default setting, run the commands again with the value provided to "SearchScope" parameter to 0. To search across the Hub, use 2 as the SearchScope value. We will be providing a way to set this setting using the UI in a future release as well. Updated in April 2020 to reflect the ability to search across Hubs.
XDR advanced hunting region specific endpoints
Hi, I am exploring XDR advanced hunting API to fetch data specific to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint tenants. The official documentation (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/defender-xdr/api-advanced-hunting) mentions to switch to Microsoft Graph advanced hunting API. I had below questions related to it: 1. To fetch the region specific(US , China, Global) token and Microsoft Graph service root endpoints(https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/deployments#app-registration-and-token-service-root-endpoints ) , is the recommended way to fetch the OpenID configuration document (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity-platform/v2-protocols-oidc#fetch-the-openid-configuration-document) for a tenant ID and based on the response, the region specific SERVICE/TOKEN endpoints could be fetched? Since using it, there is no need to maintain different end points for tenants in different regions. And do we use the global service URL https://login.microsoftonline.com to fetch OpenID config document for a tenantID in any region? 2. As per the documentation, Microsoft Graph Advanced hunting API is not supported in China region (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/security-security-runhuntingquery?view=graph-rest-1.0&tabs=http). In this case, is it recommended to use Microsoft XDR Advanced hunting APIs(https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/defender-xdr/api-advanced-hunting) to support all region tenants(China, US, Global)?
Bug using streaming API related to new type of event 'CloudProcessEvents'
Hi community, recently i've been trying to send XDR events/logs to a storage account via streaming API option. The problem comes when this bad request appears: This problem is related with a new schema that have been added recently to XDR Advanced Hunting. As you can see the new type of event 'CloudProcessEvents' is not supported via API but it doesnt appear in type of event at the configuration to unselect it. Can someone help?
