Edge on Android isn't available for opening PDFs
Android 9 pie and latest version of Edge Android beta, in the file manager when I "Open with" on PDF file, Edge isn't available. I'd like the same features we have on desktop, Mac, Linux to be available on Android and IOS too. if you want the same, please send a feedback through Edge browser about this. thank youUse Calibre E-book manager (free) to read your EPUB files
Saw some people wanted to read EPUB files but it is discontinued in Edge classic, and it was a good decision since Edge is a browser, not a E-book reader. it also lacks so many essential features for managing E-book library. so for those of you looking for a free full featured complete software to enjoy your E-books, use Calibre. it supports all major E-book reader devices, E-book formats and many more! https://calibre-ebook.com/ P.S I'm really trying to help people find a great free software to read their Epubs and start doing it right now. without waiting for anyone to develop and create something that is already made by someone else. the point of this topic is to demonstrate some Win32 E-book readers and their features. because in Microsoft's support article, they only said to use Windows store for finding an Epub reader but there isn't anything remotely as good as these programs on Windows store.
Always download PDF files forces open in edge as opposed to other default configured pdf software
This policy and its rule doesn't appear to be working as expected. settings > content > pdfDocuments Always download PDF files - checked Download PDF files to your device. If Microsoft Edge is your default PDF reader, PDF files will open automatically without downloading. On several devices within our estate they have alternative default pdf software (pdf xchange editor) despite all settings and configuration being correct and having tested this on/off it looks like this is the culprit. can anyone else confirm?New Immersive Reader Icon animation on Edge canary

UPDATE: Got fixed in the last update. Here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/install/hardware-and-software-requirements-2019 when i click on Reading View's book icon, it gives me this: turned off other extensions to make sure they are not interfering with the page load It gets more weird when on another Microsoft Docs article page the Reading View button doesn't even appear, like here for example: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/SharePoint/hybrid/plan-sharepoint-server-hybrid but when i choose another article from the left bar then the button appears and it works. there is definitely a bug in Edge canary that needs a fix. again it won't hurt if you just make the reading view a fixed button instead of trying to recognize the page content first because right now the detection method is not working well.
