125 TopicsBoosting cloud and AI ROI: The power of Microsoft Marketplace
In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, organizations face mounting pressure to adapt to new AI-centric technologies while maximizing the value of their cloud investments. The challenge is not just about keeping up with innovation, but also about making smart, future-proof decisions that balance speed, security, and cost efficiency. We had the chance to explore this during the recent Boost cloud and AI ROI using Microsoft Marketplace session at Microsoft Ignite that I co-presented with Matthew Hillegass, Sr. Commercial Director at Mars. The Marketplace advantage A unified digital marketplace has emerged as a strategic solution for enterprises seeking to streamline their cloud and AI procurement. Microsoft Marketplace brings together thousands of vetted cloud and AI applications, offering a single destination for discovery, trial, and purchase. This consolidation enables organizations to source solutions quickly, with confidence in their security and compliance. Addressing procurement challenges Traditional procurement processes are often slow and complex, involving lengthy supplier onboarding, contract negotiations, and risk reviews. By leveraging Microsoft Marketplace, organizations can: Reduce supplier onboarding time by up to 75%*: Supplier qualification and contract templates are standardized, minimizing delays. Accelerate procurement cycles*: Reduce employee effort required for each procurement engagement by 50%. Enable flexible billing: Options for monthly, annual, upfront, or metered billing allow organizations to tailor payments to their needs. *The Total Economic Impact™ Of The Microsoft Commercial Marketplace Financial optimization and MACC integration One of the most significant benefits of Microsoft Marketplace is its alignment with Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC). Eligible solutions purchased through the Marketplace count dollar-for-dollar against an organization’s MACC, helping optimize cloud spend and offset consumption gaps. This feature provides predictable financial planning and ensures that investments align with long-term cloud strategies. Enhanced governance and security Microsoft Marketplace extends the governance and security controls of the Azure environment. Role-based access, private marketplaces, and unified audit trails ensure that only authorized personnel can procure solutions, and that every transaction is tracked and compliant. This integrated approach simplifies risk management and supports responsible AI adoption. Observability and future initiatives As organizations look to the future, observability—both in technology and financial operations—becomes increasingly important. The Marketplace offers tools to track vendors, agreements, and spending, providing transparency and control over the entire application estate. Predictive optimization and holistic tracking are on the horizon, promising even greater efficiency and insight. Practical steps for organizations Whether just beginning their cloud journey or managing multi-year commitments, organizations can benefit from the Marketplace by: Identifying current cloud solutions using app discovery tools from partners like Clazar and Userlane that are available on Microsoft Marketplace. Aligning stakeholders in finance, legal, and security to streamline procurement. Mapping applications to MACC-eligible solutions for optimal financial impact. Rightsizing and derisking cloud commitments through Marketplace transactions, Encouraging suppliers to enroll in Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program to onboard to the Marketplace. Utilizing private offers and flexible billing to meet specific organizational needs. Microsoft Marketplace transforms procurement from a bottleneck into a strategic enabler. By centralizing discovery, purchase, and governance of cloud and AI solutions, it empowers organizations to innovate faster, spend smarter, and maintain robust security and compliance. As digital transformation accelerates, Microsoft Marketplace stands out as a vital tool for maximizing ROI and future-proofing technology investments. As the Microsoft Marketplace community continues to grow, I recommend managing your subscriptions to get the content most relevant to your top areas of interest, at the right time. About Labels and Subscriptions: You may have noticed that posts within this discussion forum contain labels such as "Build," "Publish," "Grow," and "ISV Success." These labels are applied to help you identify focused on specific Marketplace topics (Building apps for Marketplace, publishing apps, growing your sales of apps on Marketplace, etc.) There are similar labels applied to all blogs on the marketplace blog: "Thought Leadership" - includes content on best practices, interviews with marketplace partners, etc. "Roadmap & Functionality" - any content related to the marketplace roadmap and new features/functionality You can "subscribe" to certain labels based on your areas of interest, which allows for a more customized community experience. For example. on the Marketplace blog site, if you are most interested in Roadmap & Functionality content. you can adjust your settings to be notified immediately when new content with this label is published. And if you are interested in other topics, such as ISV Success, you can still subscribe, but just elect to receive notifications less frequently. I've set up a SaaS offer in the Azure Marketplace and created a free plan for testing purposes. However, when attempting to subscribe to the offer, I encounter an issue: No plans are available for the selected subscription, despite configuring both yearly and monthly plans. Additionally, a paid plan has been configured. Please see the screenshot below for reference.3.9KViews1like24CommentsNew To The Community

We have a SaaS Twilio SendGrid subscription in Azure. When navigating from the Azure resource, the user shown as "admin user" in the Sendgrid UI (https://app.sendgrid.com/) is wrong/outdated and needs to be updated. According to Twilio support, this must be done in Azure since everything regarding the account is managed there, but I cannot figure out how to change the admin user. Can you please help me?SolvedMultitenant and Marketplace publishing, issue with Solution Designation
We have our solution published on Microsoft Marketplace using Partner Center. This is first / main Partner center MPN Location and Microsoft tenant in Europe. Now publishing requires having Solution Designation. We need to publish this solution on another MPN Location / Microsoft tenant in US. On the second / child tenant, we did not reach the Solution Designation, so it is not active. Therefore, we are unable to publish solution on Microsoft Marketplace due to missing Solution designation. Should Solution Designation status be automatically inherited from partner (main) to child tenant / locations? How can we grow revenue etc to reach solution designation, if we cannot publish (already successful) solution on Marketplace.AppSource Marketplace bugs
Hi everyone, We recently noticed some bugs on the Marketplace, such as the call-to-action button displaying “CTA_Get” instead of the correct label. I’m curious—has anyone else experienced similar issues? It’d be great to know if this is isolated or more widespread. Thanks for sharing your feedback!Solved373Views0likes7Comments
