4 TopicsAI news feed suggestion
I would like to see an AI feature that can organize the news feed based on custom news interests. For instance, I could create a new news feed with topics that are not common (such as futuristic cars, crazy tech that exist, etc.). Then, the AI would filter the news articles according to my preferences and create a personalized news interest for me to follow in the news feed. What do you think about this idea?369Views0likes0CommentsNew floating button for the Web Widget in Edge
you can drag and drop it you can put it anywhere on the screen but it's sticky, so it automatically sticks to sides. if you drag and drop it on the center of your screen, it automatically sticks to one of the 3 sides, (Top, Right, Left), also got smooth animation when it sticks. it stays always on top of other windows (except for full screen games which I just tested) can be turned on and off using the option shown in the screenshot below How do you launch Web Widget? it launches automatically on Windows startup (unless you disable it from Edge settings or Windows settings) you can launch it by right-clicking on Edge canary shortcut on Start menu and selecting "Launch Web Widget" you can launch it from Edge settings page: edge://settings/newTabPage you can launch it by pressing Edge's (...) menu button => More tools => Launch Web Widget Microsoft Edge Version 90.0.816.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) This might be a Controlled feature rollout7KViews2likes2CommentsWhen the list of countries in the New tab page gets completed?
The list has been incomplete for a while so i was wondering when the rest of the countries will be added there are only 60 countries on the list and there are 200 countries in the world. it's not just for language but also more importantly for News sources2.9KViews5likes12CommentsAdd an auto-detect option to the NTP language and locale settings
In the previous Edge insider canary update this feature was introduced https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/discussions/new-feature-change-language-and-locale-of-the-ntp-contents/m-p/1099107 but there are lots of languages missing from that list. so if someone accidentally or for testing purposes, chose a foreign language from the list, and that person's native language is one of those that are missing from the list, there is no way for them to go back. like this incident: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/discussions/new-feature-change-language-and-locale-of-the-ntp-contents/m-p/1101552/highlight/true#M21144 so my suggestion is to add all of the languages to the list, make it complete at the top of the language list, add an "auto detect" option so Edge can detect the language and locale based on the IP address.919Views0likes0Comments
