Can someone please explain how I can create a question that asks someone to enter their managers email address whereby the user is presented with the normal (for other MS products) drop down/search list for AD users where they can pick the address? If that 'basic' question is answered positively, is there a way to automatically fill the field given I know who is filling in the form, and AD knows who their manager is. Surely the more automated the form, the better experience it is for the end user.4.2KViews0likes1CommentRestrict permission to create Forms, to only one group or small subset of users?
Hi there, I have what seems like it should be a simple/common request, to only allow a small group of users in a tenant to create/manage Forms, but still enable all internal users to respond to Forms. - Looking at Microsoft's https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-forms/set-up-microsoft-forms#configure the only way this can be disabled for some users but not others is via the M365 Admin Center but would need to be done individually user-by-user, no good for hundeds of users as it could take several monotonous hours, but looking so far like my only workable option. - I've looked into a PowerShell solution to this but have been unable to achieve something that disables that property for all users except one group. - Another suggested option might be to create a conditional access policy in Azure AD / Entra Center, however this would restrict general users from responding to Forms content - the requirement is to only restrict the creation/management of Forms for most users. Please can anyone advise? Cheers, AlanSolved2.6KViews1like2Commentstesting - please ignore this thread

Hi, I am working at a company that has two locations (let's call them Site A and B) with one common AD domain, we are in the process of selling off one of the locations. We want to split the network (i.e. Site A and B will operate independently of each other), but still use the same domain and network resources at both locations (i.e. print, file, etc.). Once the physical network is split we will just remove the AD references to the previous location. The one thing I am concerned about is that we only have one Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) server where we have the main root certificate server at one location and not the other one. Is there a way to setup a secondary root certificate server so that we can still maintain the original PKI infrastructure at both locations? For example, after we split the locations can we stand up a new PKI server on the domain without this service and utilize it. Not sure how that will work. Would it be easier to setup a new PKI server with a new root certificate? Please let me know if you can provide any advice? Hi All, I have 5 DC's and configured in VCenter and all the DC's are backup by Commvault. We do not take system state backup for any DC's, and we take only compete backup. Please help me with the below questions, 1. Whether full backup is sufficient since we don't have system state backup. 2. As of I know we should not take the snapshot of the domain controller. We are using commvault to back up our domain controllers. As per our backup experts, commvault will take the snapshot of the VM(DC) and Vcenter will take the snapshot the VM(DC) at the time of backup and both snapshot will be consolidated and stored on the designation disk. Please help me understand, can we restore the DC directly from this type of backup, or we need to take the system state backup.887Views0likes0Commentschange text error : "the referenced account is currently locked and may not be logged on to"

Hello, I'm setting up an automation where a Form response triggers a Power Automate Flow that updates a non-critical value in Business Central records. It works well except that I want the form to be non-public but to still be usable for people that are from different tenants but added as guests or members in our Entra. I haven't found what kind of setup and changes I need to make for this to be possible, I feel like it's either people within my domain or public, nothing in between. Is there really no way to restrict access to exclude public and anonymous users but include users from externa tenants and invited in my domain ? This is the current Entra setup for the kind of user I want to be able to access the form, I have tried with both user type Guest and Member but no change. Thank you435Views0likes1Comment
