Dear all, I have a couple of questions regarding the new Teams Live-Events with RTMP ingest (using an external encoder). So far I´ve been using MS Stream live-events for professional livestreams with an external encoder and it worked great. But since the Stream live-events will be shut down at some point this year, I have to make the switch to the Teams live-events (with RTMP ingest). Is there an option to disable all automatic audio enhancement functions (like noise reduction, etc.)? If I stream music/spoken language to the live-event it doesn´t sound as good as with the Microsoft Stream live-events. Do teams live-events with RTMP ingest offer a buffer in case one of the viewers has an internet problems? Because to me it seems like the RTMP In live-events work rather like a general Teams Video-Call, so that in case of internet problems the audio will still be audible and the image will freeze. Usually streaming platforms have a buffer that will be filled to prevent audio-video dropouts. How do live-events in MS Teams in general differ from the live-events in MS Stream? Thanks in advance for your help! Best regards.Teams Live Event 'Send Live' Keyboard Shortcut on a Mac is a very bad idea!
I don't know how this has been missed by the development team, but I don't know if you're aware that you have assigned the shortcut for the Send Live button within Live Events to be the same as the default shortcut to close all windows on a Mac. Clearly this is a bad idea as it means a producer will be immediately kicked out of the event if they use this shortcut without realising what they're about to do (literally just watched this happen live on air). It might be a good idea to change that immediately.396Views0likes0CommentsTeams Live Event/Hybrid Event - Program Video
Hello, We have been doing Live Events regularly for the last 2 years but with people returning to to workplace a need has arisen for "Hybrid" events where we would still be sending a Live Event out but there will also be people in a large meeting room (where most of the presenters will be going live from) - What I am looking for is a way to have the "program" video on screens within the room without the 30 second delay of the "Attendee View" - I can put a Producer view on the screen. but I would much prefer to be able to pull out a "live" program view.... Any thoughts?2.1KViews0likes3CommentsTeams Live Event Quality reporting
I am trying to find a way to lookup Quality of Experience on Live Events. I can do it with Meetings or Calls using Teams Admin console, Power BI QER, or Call Quality Dashboard. Today I have had a report that many of the participants of a Live event had freezing. I tried to hunt it down. In Teams admin Center I can only see the live event for two people. In Usage reports and on the users Meetings&Calls tab Can only see the two people who were "Producers" as part of the meeting. It does indicate they have Poor Wifi so that may be part of the issue. But what I don't understand it that every other participant in the Live Event does not show anything at this time in Meetings and Calls. Does it not track participants in Live Events? I tried Power BI Quality of Experience report. That will not even find the Meeting ID at all. I am thinking it filters out LiveEvent calls CQD detailed reports is not breaking it down far enough to the user level1.9KViews0likes2CommentsPreventing anonymous posts in Q&A
I have weekly contact sessions with university students, but have been experiencing problems with some making inappropriate comments (some which are of such a nature that we are in fact required to report them to our legal department). The individuals making the comments are however too cowardly/smart enough to post anonymously so nothing can be done to address the issue. They are also unfortunately quite incessant in their posts which actually disrupts the session as their inappropriate comments need to be dismissed first in order to get to the questions from students who actually have issues. Surely there is a way to ensure that no anonymous questions can be posted and culprits can be identified and removed?1.4KViews0likes2CommentsLive Event Guest user add new background
Hi, A user has been added as a guest to our tenant, so that they can present in our Teams Live Event. All of this has been set up correctly, the user can enter as a presenter and everything is as expected. However, the user needs to add their own background to their video feed, to keep everyone's backgrounds consistent. We have instructions on how to do this, by clicking the "Add new" button at the top of the background settings menu. They can access the background settings menu, however there is no "add new" button. This works on my own account and is available for us. I tested it with another guest account and again there is no "add new" button. I assume this is something to do with being a guest user. Is there a way to resolve this for Live Events, as the user needs this option. Thanks11KViews1like3CommentsBug: Restoring a live event not working after chatting
There is a bug in version 1.4.00.16567 on MacOS (11.5.1). When you chat while watching a live meeting, the meeting is minimised to a small floating window. After some clicks, the click handler on that small window breaks, so you cannot restore the video to cover the full teams window any more. Clicking on the video just does nothing. The only options you have then is to make the live event window full screen or minimized to a small window. This should be fixed.1.4KViews1like2CommentsExternal users - specific people and groups - Teams Live event
Dear community, I have a question from the business which I cannot answer using the information on the Microsoft Teams Live Event pages. The question is as follows: Is it possible to select, while creating a Live event, which external users (not without our Office 365 tenant) are able to join the live event as attendee? The option specific people and groups is there, but we are unable to add external users there. So for example when mailto:jsmith@example.com is only allowed to join the live event together with internal users, is it possible to so? And if yes, what are the restrictions? For example; does that external user have to be a registered guest within our Azure AD, or does that person has to have a Microsoft account? Thank you all in advance for your help. We are seeing an issue when trying to add an Office 365 group when scheduling a Live Event. This issue is that no Office 365 Group is showing when using the People & Group option to send out the Live Event invite. Hi, Is this now a thing: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/allow-anonymous-presenters-in-a-live-meeting-af38c662-e9b3-4b7c-bfee-073c4a6147a3 I've lost hours of my life trying to get external presenters in to our Teams Live events. Those who don't have at least a free account need to set one up and accept the invitation to our tenancy as a guest. Those who already use Teams seem still to need to accept an invitation into our tenancy as a guest. The former then gets wrapped up in a world of authentication pain while the latter seem unable to either sign out of teams in order to sign back in using our invitation, or accept into a 2nd tenancy in Teams to allow them access. All of these then still hit a wall when they have to accept our terms and conditions for use on Teams. Am I missing the easy, straightforward path to getting external presenters into our live events? The above link suggests changes coming in May however we're now in May and I've seen no change in the Teams Live event booking page. Please help! Cheers Richard1.3KViews0likes2Comments
