Hi all, I have a situation where my environment is in a hybrid state with users ready to migrate. Some users are over 100GB but less 240GB, the Microsoft article on migrating large mailboxes says i have to provision the cloud archive first, but the documentation on this says i need a license. What's confusing me is if assign a license before they migrate this creates a whole new mailbox and all sorts of screwy thing happen and you have to clean up etc.. so, you instead assign the license after the migration.., but the cloud archive docu. is saying I need to assign a license for the cloud archive first. Has this changed where i can create the Cloud archive on-prem and migrate without needing a mailbox? am i missing something?207Views0likes1CommentDynamics 365: User licensing for users without CRM access
Hello, am I allowed to have activated users in D365 that do not have a valid license? The users do not have CRM access, do not work in CRM and only serve as record owners. I could not find anything useful in the license model. The option of creating users as contacts and using them is out of the question, as we really want to license the users in the further course of the project and use them as record owners. Greetings Alexlicensing concept: ABM-locations and intune scopes
Hi, this is very much a conceptual stage, I currently do not have access to ABM (yet). Several departments want to by the same app with Apple, which could be turned into several locations in ABM, one for each department. Location "department a" would get 10 licenses, location "departent b" would get 5 licenses. There would be a token for each location, both tokens would be added to intune. In intune, those tokens will get different scopes, one for "department a", the other for "department b". Given the documentation I read, this should work, but I can't find the documenation to answer the big question: will intune combine those licenses to "there are 15 licenses in total, available to both department a and departent b" or will intune keep the separation of "10 licenses for department a and 5 for department b"? Or thinking more generally, independent of the store, considering android and microsoft was well: department a get 10 licenses in January, valid a year, department b gets 5 in July, valid a year. How would you prepare in order not to get into trouble, once department a's licenses expire? best regards Patrick483Views1like0Comments
