When I try to move a file or folder, the destination dialogue box lists only a subset of sites I have access to under two headings: Following and Recent. How can I choose a site that is in neither of these categories?Solved90KViews5likes79CommentsNew 'library dropdown' feature is showing libraries to external users who don't have access
Related to the recently released https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=SharePoint&searchterms=81990. The screenshot below shows an external user who was given permission only to a single library on a site (library name: RICP 05, which has site inheritance broken). But when they click the library dropdown, it shows the name of any library on the site that is inheriting permissions from the site (even though this external user was not given access at the site level). If they click on one of these libraries it appears empty since they don't have access, but they shouldn't be seeing these libraries in the dropdown or be able to navigate to them. I can't find any documentation on this new feature or whether it's possible to disable it on a site or library level, via the UI or PowerShell. A workaround would be to break inheritance on every other library the external user shouldn't have access to (which does appear to hide the library from them) but that creates a maintenance problem since there are dozens of libraries on this site and most of them are intended to inherit from the site and be managed at the site level.18KViews2likes8CommentsFirst list item or document is hidden behind the column header row.
I started to observe a pretty annoying behavior of SharePoint lists and document libraries these days. It appears that the first item in the list (or the first document in the library) is hidden behind the column header row: When scrolling down one row, the item shows ABOVE the column header row, and the second entry in the list is hidden. If you filter for a single entry, the list or library appears empty, except if there are some fields with long text that stick out below the header row. And if there are less than a page full of items, you simply miss the first one, because you can't scroll down to spot it above the header line. This affects Chrome and Firefox, it is not present in Edge, although there is as well some strange behavior when scrolling down, at the very beginning the List/Library Title and the header row move first up and out of sight, and then pop down again.4.6KViews1like11CommentsSharePoint IDs in my SharePoint Online Library randomly Increased 10-fold? Is this a problem?
Hello, As you can see in the screenshot below. I created a Sharepoint Library and set it to show the ID field since I use this field as a way to track documents that are created and placed within my library. This is a brand new library that started at 1 when I first created it. All was going good until a couple of days ago when I noticed that the Unique ID field had jumped from around 2000 to 38000 and the number just keeps going up! As far as I know, this ID field is supposed to increment by 1 every time a new file is added correct? I definitely didnt add 36000 files to my library. What is happening here? Should I be concerned that there are some hidden files that are taking up space in my library somewhere? Is this normal and theres nothing for me to worry about? Could this prevent me from adding to my library in the future say if I reach a character limit on the unique id field? Any insight is appreciated!Solved2KViews0likes1Comment
