Hey guys we are starting to configure an AVD environment for a customer in 3 different language regions in switzerland (Swiss German, Swiss French & Swiss Italian). Is there a way we can show the user at the first login something like a OOBE screen, where they can choose the language as well as the keyboard layout by themselves? Many thanks for your feedback. I'm https://superuser.com/q/1842491/588662 to manage the preferred languages in Microsoft Edge on Windows. Specifically, I want to remove certain languages that appear in the "edge://settings/languages" settings (e.g., Dutch). I have a few questions regarding this: Registry Settings: Is there a registry key that controls the preferred languages in Edge? I've checked the `HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Edge` path but found no clear indicators related to language preferences. If the preferred languages are stored in the registry, could you please provide the exact path or any subkeys where these settings are managed? Preferences JSON File: If the preferred languages are not controlled via the registry, could they be stored in the `Preferences` JSON file located at "C:\Users\$Env:UserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default\Preferences" ? If so, can anyone guide me on how to modify this file safely to update or remove language preferences? Best Practices: Are there any best practices or recommended methods for programmatically managing language settings in Edge? Whether through PowerShell, registry modifications, or editing the JSON preferences file, I would appreciate any advice or scripts that have worked for others. Thank you in advance for your assistance!1.1KViews0likes1CommentCatalan and Galician missing in the language settings?
Hi all, I would like to know why Catalan and Galician have been deleted from the new updates of Microsoft Stream. These two languages are available by default in all the commercial Microsoft products. It does not make any sense that, suddenly, they are not present anymore in new updates. To whom could this be properly addressed? It is a linguistical discrimination. Thank you for your help.Onedrive system-tray icon's pop-up window system message is not displaying
Hello, I'm working in IT dept of my company. This problem occurred on a computer newly set up & existing user's computer. Cases are: 1. Locale setting: CP437 & Display language: Korean & Machine A -> system message is displayed but the font is an unusual Korean font. 2. Locale setting: CP949 & Display language: Korean & Machine A,B,C -> system message isn't displayed. 3. Locale setting: CP437 & Display language: Korean & Machine B -> system message is displayed with the usual Korean font 4. Locale setting: CP437 & Display language: English & Machine C -> System message is displayed with usual English font (forget this, I use English but site users doesn't want to use English as display language. Just wanted to describe that there's no problem with English as system language & display language both.) locale display_lang machine Onedrive status note 1 CP437 KR A abnormal messages with odd Korean font 2 CP949 KR A, B, C abnormal no displayed message 3 CP437 KR B normal usual korean font 4 CP437 EN C normal usual english font # All machine has the same Windows & Onedrive version Windows version: 20H2 (19042.1889) Onedrive version: 22.166.0807.0002 (64bit) My inquiries are: 1. What is most likely the factor that affects the Onedrive system tray icon's pop-up window display message? // I only recognized the locale & display language setting as the factor 2. Did anyone witness this kind of symptom previously? If you did, how could you resolve this? I want to make Onedrive messages displayed in Korean fonts like Case 3, also with cp949. Thank you so much for spending your time here 😄1.2KViews0likes0CommentsMS Lists approval status column formatting when browser language changes
