4 TopicsIssue with Adjusting Volume in Windows 11 Multi App Kiosk
Hi, I am trying to configure windows 11 Multi App Kiosk mode for 24H2 OS Build 26100.4946 I’ve successfully configured the Multi App Kiosk on Windows 11 24H2, but I can't adjust the volume, unlike in Windows 10.The device does allow me to configure the volume via the function keys in the keyboard but it doesn't allow me to configure it via the option available in the taskbar As a workaround, I have to allow settings in my environment as app and open the volume mixer by right clicking the taskbar Is there a way to enable volume control through the taskbar in this setup?98Views0likes2CommentsDeploying and Activating Microsoft Defender on Android Kiosk Devices Without User Interaction
I’m working with an Android Kiosk device that deploys two applications. This device is enrolled under 'Corporate-owned dedicated devices' Enrollment Profiles and isn’t assigned to any specific user. Our company requires Microsoft Defender on all devices, but I’m encountering issues with Defender activation —it won’t activate without a user login. Since this is a dedicated Kiosk device with no assigned user, this setup doesn’t align well with our needs. Are there any options to deploy and activate Microsoft Defender on Android Kiosk devices without requiring user interaction? Any guidance on configuring Defender in this scenario would be greatly appreciated."549Views0likes3CommentsWindows Restricted User Experience Set-CimInstance Error
So I'm trying to set up a restricted user experience that allows the usage of only one application. However, I keep running into this weird error message that provides no useful information: I've been successful in getting the boilerplate example from https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/configuration/assigned-access/quickstart-restricted-user-experience?tabs=ps&pivots=windows-11 to work, so I'm fairly certain the error lies in how I've set up the Allowed Apps and PinnedList. Perhaps in the path to the app? But I'm not sure how I'd go about changing that since I got the pathway from the task manager. Any help is appreciated! I'm setting up a public browsing kiosk in Edge, and have the "home" site set up already, with accessible links in a navbar directly on the site. I would like to make it so that the user is only able to use these links, as well as maybe a favorite site that leads them back to the home site. To this end, I'd like to disable the address bar so they can't use it to navigate the internet, and ideally make it so that closing the browser immediately opens it up in kiosk mode, or disable the close browser button altogether. Are these things possible with Edge?1.4KViews0likes0Comments
