I created a HUB site early last week. It took the rest of the week for the global TOP link show up and even then, I was not able to add any additional links. Only the default "home" link was available. Now today, I suddenly have a different screen to manage navigation but any change I make fails with "permission denied". But I realized something else was wrong, the top navigation links at the top of the home page to the site, under the page titile, is now gone. This used to show the same items as the left nav column but horizontally. The left nav does show on subpages but not the home page. Just to add to my frustration, if I add a links in the "Structural Navigation: Editing and Sorting" , the link works even though I get the permissions error. Hi all, Currently we are in the middle of creating a new intranet. One of the functionalities is the ability to show news in 3 columns depending on the type of news. Therefor we created a site column 'News category' with the following choices: Breaking Daily Other This is working perfectly and we can tag the news pages using the new feature Page Details. Now we want to show the correct news in the correct column on the homepage. So we add the news web part in 3 different column and select the following settings: Source: this site Layout: list Amount of news: 4 Filter Page properties News category is equal too Breaking (or Daily or Other, depending on which news web part we are configuring) This seems to work perfectly after configuring the web parts and publishing the page. The problem exists when I refresh the page or somebody else visits the page. The filters are totally mixed up. Some news that is tagged Breaking is now showing in the Daily news web part. Or some news page is being shown in Breaking, Daily and Other. When I check each web part setting the filters are still correctly configurated but it seems that SharePoint forget to apply the filter after publishing… I've also tried the same functionality using the Highlighted Content web part and there it works perfectly. But then my users have to deal with the fact that on each picture the SharePoint page icon is being shown. We prefer to use the news web part for the cleaner look. Some other details: The site is a communication site The site is promoted to a Hub site 3 Team sites are currently connected to this hub siteSolved25KViews3likes15CommentsIs there a way to show a list of associated sites to a hub site, without using top navigation bar?
We are creating collaboration sites with clients, which are all associated with a Hub Site (Let's name it Clients Hub Site). Of course, those sites are private, and we don't want one client accessing -nor even knowing about the existence- of another private site. Therefore we don't want to list the private sites in the navigation bar at the Clients Hub Site, which in any case should be done manually. The question is: Is there any function/application to be included in the Clients Hub Site contents which automatically shows an updated list of associated private sites? This was available in the past when using the sub-sites feature (They were listed in the parent site contents). May I insist on the limited access requirement: External users, members of the private groups/sites, shouldn't be aware of the existence of other groups/sites. Thanks in advance for any help. m.Solved23KViews0likes6CommentsCannot update Hub Site Navigation

Hi I hope you can help me out. I have some hub sites with associated sites (all are communication sites). I can edit the pages and navigation on all sites, but when I make changes to the top bar navigation (hub site), the changes won't go through. I am primary admin on all sites and it worked 4 days ago. Do any of you have the same problem? Kind regards MortenSolved17KViews3likes12CommentsModern Communications Hub Site- Error on Hub Home Page
Hey there, I enabled a Modern Communications site as a Hub site and associated several Team sites. The Nav is working great and when I view the home page of my Hub site(I am the site collection admin), I can see the 'News' web part is serving news from sites in the hub and the 'Sites' web part is showing sites associated with the Hub. However, my users are not seeing this. They see two blank web parts. They do not even see news published from the Hub site itself. And, below the blank 'Sites' web part there is an error. As of July 1st or so, our hub site is not displaying newly published news articles from associated sites. It does, however, display news articles from associated sites published prior to July 1st. Hi, I am experiencing some very strange behavior from our new hub site. In the news webpart, it is set to roll-up news from all associated sites and the hub itself. For me, it works like a charm. For everybody else, it is not working. They see no news at all. They have the same permissions as I have. They can find the news via the search box and they can access them, via Site Content. I have re-indexed the librarys, removed the webpart, changed permissions, but nothing works. I am open to all the help I can get :-) Thanks, DanielSolved9.5KViews0likes7CommentsHub Visitors not replicating permissions to spoke sites
My Hub Visitors group is not replicating to the other spoke sites on the hub. I have updated via the actual permissions panel and by the quick permissions setting panel "Hub Permissions". All of my sites are set to sync these users. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this issue or is aware of a delay?Solved6.4KViews0likes6CommentsModern Site and Document Library Search Suggestions and Results
When searching in a modern hub site and document library within the site the search suggestions and the search results page show document file names instead of the titles. Is there a way to change this? It doesn't make for a very nice search experience as file names are not usually formatted in a friendly manner where titles are edited and friendly to the users. Attached are screenshots from the document library search and also the hub site search/results.3.9KViews0likes4Comments
