27 TopicsAccessing a Teams Meeting
I have two Microsoft Teams accounts a personal account with 365 (so the paid version of Teams) and a work account which is the free version of Teams. Note: both accounts use the same email (I suspect this maybe the root cause of my issues). When I create a meeting using my personal account all is good in terms of access. When a 3rd party invites me to a meeting I have problems access the meeting via my App. (I've been onto Microsoft Support and they reloaded the App but I still have the issue). I've tried clicking the link, "Join via a meeting ID" but nothing seems to work. I have access via the web but that seems to be a bit hit and miss, some time it works and some times it doesn't. I only have this issue on the desktop, I can assess meetings via my phone using the Teams App without a problem. This isn't ideal for sharing screens etc., so really need to resolve this issue on my desktop. I just want to be able to consistently access meetings either via my personal (paid) version or my work (free) version. At the moment I actually don't know until I try (and often fail) to join. Any advice/things to try would be great. Thanks in advance,675Views0likes0CommentsOn my new macbook incoming screenshares are very low quality (for me only)
I've been trying to search for an answer but I'm not sure what keywords to use, so let me know if this is a duplicate of other threads or solves on this forum. Recently I was sent a new laptop from work as the keyboard on my 2018 Macbook Pro died. The new one is the M1 2021 Macbook Pro on Monterey 12.2.1. When I fired up teams for a meeting, the quality my incoming screenshares is awful and basically illegible if the sharer doesn't zoom to at least 150%. I seem to be the only person experiencing this on calls. Testing with my co-workers I have discovered the following things: 1. It is only me who experiences this low quality within meetings with multiple people from my work 2. Different computers within my network can get onto the calls and see the screen fine 3. It was fine on my previous work laptop and i had used both on my home network within the same calendar day 4. My down / up speeds were 600/100 mbps during this testing, so it isn't network latency 5. Incoming video / webcam feeds are fine or the same as before, it is only for screenshared content I've tried with the GPU acceleration on and off with no difference, and can't seem to find any other settings within teams I can alter to try and troubleshoot. Are their mac specific settings I should be altering to try and resolve this? Any feedback or assistance would be greatly appreciated.1.7KViews0likes3CommentsTeams stops working when I switch accounts
I have to switch regularly between my university staff account and my student account for classes and meetings on Teams, but I've found when I log out of one account and try to login with another it only works maybe half the time? It'll take a long time to load on the second login and then when it finally logs in, usually it will just show a blank white screen. Sometimes restarting the computer will jumpstart it, but usually it'll just stay a white screen until I uninstall the program entirely and reinstall it. It's incredibly frustrating and I've been having this problem for a year.Solved5.3KViews0likes3Comments[Help] Microsoft Teams offers to transfer call from device that I'm not using
Hello everyone. I was using Microsoft Teams on my cellphone when suddenly the app closed and once I opened it again it gave the option to transfer the call to "this" device (my cellphone which I was currently using) or to stay in the other device. The thing is, I was not using any other device. I do have MT registered on my PC but it was closed. Has this happened to any of you? Why does this happen?1KViews0likes1CommentNeed help urgently - two entire classes/teams are gone.
For the past 2-3 days, I wasn't able to log in to my school account of Teams... Kept getting different types of error messages or that I had to try again, and the like, so I just let it be for the weekend. Today, I was finally able to enter my Teams - and it turns out that 2 classes/Teams that I had, along with all assignments, archives, posts, etc. (basically 6-7 months worth of work, notes, homework, recordings, and activities with my students) have simply vanished. I can still see and access 2 teams previously done/owned by my principal, but my 2 classes are nowhere in sight. They show up neither on the browser Teams nor the Dekstop app, they're just gone for me and my students. If I try to enter the assignment page, I get the following message: I'm completely positive I did not delete the aforementioned teams - not even remotely by mistake - and the only other person that has access to them as an owner is the school's principal, and so far he has not returned my messages or my calls. Can anyone tell me whether there could be any way to get the Teams or the data back? I should note, I've no access to the Admin Centre...1.1KViews0likes1CommentTeams iOS app notification issues
Hello all! I use the Teams iOS app on my phone for work, and have set quiet days/hours for when I don't want to see notifications. However, I still receive notifications during those hours/days. I've tried toggling the setting on and off, deleting/reinstalling the app, and resetting my phone, but no dice. Any ideas on how I can fix this? My phone is an iPhone 8 and I have the latest version of the Teams app installed. TIA!2.9KViews0likes3CommentsTrying to set a meeting, "mailbox not found" error .. so frustrated with everything Microsoft!
HI, I am trying to set up Microsoft Teams for our Youth Sports Organization. We are a not for profit and qualify for a business account. I have gone through the set up and have attempted to get Teams to work. Everything about this process is not user friendly at all. I can open teams, I can see that I am the only user in it. I don't want to add other users until I can test out teams etc. I am trying to test a Teams Meeting by sending my personal email account an invite to attend but I keep getting the error "mailbox not found" or something like that. Why can't this process be easier!!!???? Google was a piece of cake, this is a million different screens, settings that don't make sense and I cannot even locate settings to allow outside/public to attend live events ... Please help!!!6.3KViews0likes2CommentsI can't add members to private channels!

I need to create a Teams meeting invite using Calendar where the candidate being interviewed has to wait in the lobby until they are permitted into the meeting by the hosts. How exactly do I do this with Calendar? Supposedly it has something to do with the specific Teams link of the meeting.28KViews0likes1Comment
