I know there was discussion previously (about 2017) of implementing a feature to allow parents to access Teams Assignments, but I haven't seen any updates on this. I have seen that an email digest can be set up but this isn't a great approach for many of our parents as they would prefer to be able to see upcoming assignments at their own convenience. From a teaching perspective, I would prefer to be able to identify which assignments I want to inform parents about (homework and assessments, rather than every class assignment). Does anyone know if there's a way to allocate specific assignments to a calendar and then share that calendar with parents?11Views0likes0CommentsFailed-Delete Message: Initiator (8:orgid:**) is not allowed to delete message

Our users are sharing a group chat with an external organization, users were invited by the creator of the group chat. Today all of the external users were removed from the group, we have no idea why. We have a guess that it happened because the user who created the group chat left the organization and his user was disabled in Entra-ID. This is the second time this has happened to this group of users, last week, in a similar way, all of our users were removed from a group created by a user in the other organization. Any explanation or more information as to how to prevent/debug this situation is welcome. Thanks! I was invited to an organization as a Teams guest. In the first login, I was required to scan a QR code to add an guest account in the Microsoft Authenticator app. This account wasn't like my own ones because it had "#EXT#" in the account to show that I was an outsider of their organization. When I login Teams guest account, I needed to click a pop-up 2-digit number in the Microsoft Authenticator app to get authenticated. This was fine for sometime. But then I accidentally removed the account from my Microsoft Authenticator app. So how can I regain that QR code - or how can I add that account in my Microsoft Authenticator app again? Should the admin of that organization remove and invite me again? Is there an article/instruction/doc about this situation? Thank you!Solved15KViews1like6CommentsAllowing guests to start a meeting without the organizer present
We run afterschool programs that rely heavily on volunteers. We have about two to three students in a group with each volunteer. Each group has been given their own link, however our program coordinator, who was the organizer of each group/teams meeting, has to go to every link to allow them into the meeting. We have clicked on the meeting preferences to allow everyone in without having to wait in the lobby, however unless the meeting organizer is present, they still have to sit in the lobby. Is there anyway to change that?Solved381KViews0likes23CommentsRemove Guest Organisation from User where you no longer have the permission to login
Hello, i have the following problem, so basically during covid one coworker joined a external organisation as guest, but they removed him from guest access a few days ago because the project was done, so now he cant login anymore to the external organisation that causes teams to block and ask to login to that external organisation but since he cant he need to log out completly and the login again just to use teams for the next 15min. The other problem is that you cant remove the guest organisation since it doesnt show in the organisations tab on his profile because he has no more login access. how can i fix this ? kind regards Florian19KViews1like5CommentsHow to BCC guests to a Teams meeting?
Hi all, I wish to invite up to 20 guests to a Teams meeting. To my horror, when I added in their non-MS email and sent them the invite to the meeting, the email shows every attendees' email address including the other guests' email addresses! I'm sure I've offended many people with that invite! So the question here: How can I invite external guests to a Teams meeting using BCC so as to protect their email addresses? In Zoom, we can simply send the guest the room ID or meeting link and password protect the meeting. There is no invite link in Teams (at least it is not obviously available) and I cannot password protect the meeting. Please advise. M365 Group, Teams-enabled, one member is a Guest User. The team is in my org, not hers. If I create a meeting invitation from within Teams, she (the Guest User) is not recognized and not allowed as a task assignee; she does not have access to the agenda or notes, which appear to Loop components; and does not have access to the meeting notes during a Teams meeting. Why? What permissions are interfering? If she's a member of the Group, she has edit permissions in SharePoint.Solved94Views0likes1CommentGuests cannot be invited
I have had the problem for some time now that guests cannot be invited to a team chat. Guest access is activated. If an attempt is made to add external persons to the team, the following message is displayed: "No match found" Microsoft remote connection check has also already been tested for Teams (Teams: Guest login) "https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/tests/teams" At the moment I can't explain this behavior and I can't find a solution. Can anyone give me tips on how to solve this problem?Solved76Views0likes2CommentsTeams Chat - Guest vs External
We find that Teams Chat to External users of another tenancy Teams (using their full email name) notifies them within their Teams that there is an incoming message and allows them to participate in a text-only conversation. The recipient is logged into their 'home' Teams and doesn't need to do anything else, or switch to the senders Tenancy. If a Teams Chat is sent to a Guest user, who is logged into their 'home' Teams (and not the senders Teams tenancy) they get no notification. This is not the expected behaviour. Adding someone to a Channel automatically creates a Guest, and we are having to tell our users to ignore the suggested Guest account when trying to start a Chat and instead type in the full email name to send the message to an External account if they want their message to be seen immediately.11KViews3likes15Comments
