Hello, I have a client who needs to free up spaces taken mostly by retention. Since he's already backing up and archiving his data, the retention policy in place for the groups 365 is not needed anymore. He modified his retention policy (in the compliance center) to not take the 365 groups anymore and desactivated the functionnality of retention in the administration of his main SharePoint site. However, when deleting items in the retention library of each SharePoint site (linked to Teams), this error message still appears : "This library contains items that have been modified or deleted but must remain available due to eDiscovery holds. Items cannot be modified or removed." The thing is that we didn't find any eDiscovery strategies in place in the compliance center. Do you have any idea from where this can be from and how we could resolve this issue ? Thank you for your answers !40KViews0likes7CommentsGuest Access Management - What are the standard concerns in Office 365
We are in process of planning the governance for Guest Access to SharePoint and other Office 365 services. We need to understand as to what are the standards concerns around the Guest Access in SharePoint and Office 365 that every organization should address and how do we address them?677Views0likes0CommentsWhat is the difference between Remove-msoluser and Remove-SPOExternalUser
Hi all I doing some clean up of external users in my tenant and deleting stale guest users. There are 2 cmdlets that can be used to delete Guest users: remove-spoexternaluser and remove-msoluser. I understand remove-msoluser can be used to delete both tenant users and external users also. But when it comes to guest users, are they both same? It looks like both can be used to delete external user from Azure AD. And both cmdlets don't delete the external user id from user info list in SharePoint. Is there a preference of one over other?2.7KViews0likes1Comment
