Hello, I have not been able to share the screen (or other windows) like I used to share with MS Teams running inside Google Chrome 109.0.5414 on Ubuntu 22.10. The only thing I can share is other tabs inside Google Chrome. The same thing is happening inside Chromium 109.0.5414. The strange thing is that Google Chrome and Chromium display the following message: "Go to Security & Privacy > Screen Recording to give permission and start sharing." But I do not have these Security & Privacy Settings. I am not using macOS, where I know about these settings. On Linux, there are no such settings. Are there any other options on a Linux System to set to make sharing screens possible once more? Thanks in advance. Brave was first founded in May 28, 2015 Brave 1.0.0 was released in November 9th, 2019. That's 4 years spent in Beta. Microsoft Edge? in January 15th 2020, the first stable version will be released. that will be 10 months spent in Beta. lots of people agree with this, that Edge needs to be feature rich before it is called stable and final. I wish Microsoft make a browser so that the first thing I always do after installing a Windows OS wouldn't be going to the internet and downloading a different browser because the built-in browser is not good enough for me. but in order for that to happen, lots of things must be added. lots of things must be learned from different browsers. one of them is Google chrome. now I don't like Google as a company and I have very good reasons for it. like this Google quietly removes "don't be evil" preface from code of conduct and this this Google has access to detailed health records on tens of millions of Americans but in order to become better than them, Microsoft needs to apply the same features Google chrome has. such as allowing for new tab page search engine to be changed another one of the browsers that are a good examples is Brave, Brave has Tor support for private browsing, and support for torrent downloads. Support for Torrent is really awesome! I use it a lot but I have to install a torrent client such as Qbittorrent to use that protocol. Windows has never added any support for Torrent protocol, none of the Microsoft products have had anything to do with Torrent before. Torrent files should be handled the same way as the normal files are. one step towards this is when user clicks on a Torrent file or Torrent magnet link, the browser automatically recognizes it and starts downloading it the same way it does for HTTP/HTTPS files on servers.3.2KViews2likes3CommentsYour session has expired Error popping up all the time!
I'm trying to upload a video at https://web.microsoftstream.com/ and I'm getting this error every 10 seconds which forces me to refresh the page all the time and won't let me get anything done. Google Chrome has a GPO named "Set User Data Directory" under 'Google/Google Chrome' If that policy (which prevents users from configuring their own user data directory and forces a specific data location) is configured the data import fails, and Edge doesn't understand where to find the Google Chrome data to import. It also prevents future auto-import capabilities.736Views1like0CommentsVery Impressive Edge insider Canary Results in HTML5 Test (Plus other browsers) Comparison
Here is the the score of browsers to see how much of HTML5 technologies and features they support. In order of highest to lowest. By the way, Acid3 is an old test. https://html5test.com/ http://acid3.acidtests.org/ Comment down below what you think. I for one am hella impressed by Microsoft Edge insider's score!18KViews3likes11CommentsTab Grouping needs So much improvements
Tab grouping in Edge insider canary is worse than Tab grouping in Google chrome stable Edge insider Version 81.0.375.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) VS Google Chrome Version 79.0.3945.88 (Official Build) (64-bit) so in Google chrome, when I go to a website (Any website) and then right-click on a link (could be video, post, picture etc), Google chrome automatically puts my original tab and the new tab into one group and gives it a color. Then if i open a new website in a third tab, it has no group by default but once i right-click on a link on that website and open it in a new tab, the same grouping happens. these groups with different colors help us recognize which tabs belong to which website/group and make things easier to manage. in Microsoft Edge, I have to right-click on each tab and create groups manually. P.S if you are wondering how to activate Tab Grouping: you have to go to here: edge://flags/ then find this from the search: Tab Groups and set it to enabled restart your browser4.3KViews10likes11CommentsHas Microsoft helped Chromium or Google chrome to show history in Windows 10 Timeline/TaskView?
I'm on Windows 10 insider fast ring build 19035 and i'm seeing that all of my web history from Google chrome canary Version 80.0.3987.0 (Official Build) canary (64-bit) are in there! there are also 2-3 web history, all of them from offline PDFs opened inside Edge, in there too from Edge insider canary. i don't know what's happening, I don't have any extension in Google chrome nor Edge insider to add my history to the Windows 10 Timeline/TaskView but they are automatically appearing in there, so I wanna ask if you guys (developers) have made this happen by contributing to the Chromium project? it's really a good thing but i don't know why Google chrome got this feature first before Edge insider793Views0likes0Comments[FIXED] Your session has expired Error popping up all the time! Please Officially Add Extension menu button on the toolbar as an option in settings or Flag currently we have to use this method in Edge insider to use it: Here is how you do that on Windows: Right-click on Microsoft Edge in the Start Menu or taskbar, and select Properties. You may right-click a second time on the taskbar on the Microsoft Edge entry in the menu that opens before you may select Properties. Switch to the Shortcut tab if it is not active by default. Append --enable-features=ExtensionsToolbarMenu after the path in the Target field, and make sure there is a space between the end of the path and the parameter. Here is a sample line to get a better idea how it looks like: "C:\Users\Martin\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge SxS\Application\msedge.exe" --enable-features=ExtensionsToolbarMenu Select ok to save the selection. Restart Microsoft Edge. there needs to be an easier way to do this like this flag that Google Chrome stable has it (ver 78) but Edge insider even ver 80 doesn't have it!1.5KViews0likes2Comments
