Is a COM add-in the only way to add an add-in to a Gmail/IMAP account in classic Outlook?
I have an Outlook web add-in (Office.js, MailApp) that works fine on Exchange Online mailboxes. But on a Gmail account added to classic Outlook for Windows via IMAP, the add-in never activates, as I understand it, web add-ins need an Exchange backend to activate against, which an IMAP account doesn't have. Is that correct? And if so, is a traditional COM add-in (VSTO) the only supported way to surface an add-in on these IMAP/POP mailboxes in classic Outlook, or is there a web-add-in path I'm missing?
Outlook for mac not syncing Gmail inbox
Hi All, We have a user who started travelling last week and their outlook is not syncing their gmail inbox anymore. Every other sub folder under inbox is synced as well as sent items deleted etc Tried to send an email to test if the imap sync is working correctly, the email sent and displayed in sent items. User is running Ventura macOS and latest build of outlook updated 18 dec 22. Checked gmail settings and imap is turned on Reset views in outlook...nothing seems to fix this issue thoughts?
Gmail (IMAP) in Outlook on Win11 doesn't work
Hello everybody, I bought a new windows11 computer and installed office on it, a month and a half ago. I added my Gmail account for reading emails in Outlook via IMAP, It worked great for approximately one week and then stopped working (didn't received new emails). I tried to remove my account and add it again with no success. after I read a post about a problem similar to mine (here for example: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-insider-program/windows-mail-doesn-t-sync-with-custom-pop3-imap-servers/m-p/2799751) I tried to install other email client app (mozilla's thunderbird, windows mail) with no success. On windows Mail it doesn't work either. I have another computer with Windows 10 installed on it and there it works well. My Windows 11 is updated + optional updates.
