23 TopicsMultiple Instances of Shared Excel Workbook
Hey All, I have created a price calculator for our company in excel and I would like to share it to Teams for our sales staff to use, but I don't want everyone to be using the same shared workbook at the same time. Is there a way to create multiple instances of the same shared workbook that I can upload to a team-wide channel so that everyone is working on their own workbook? My current solution is that I have created individual channels for each team member and uploaded a copy to that member's channel. I need to be able to update the price calculator without having to delete or overwrite local copies. Thanks for your help!Solved1.8KViews0likes1CommentAssigning Macros in MS Teams Excel Workbooks to Buttons
Good Afternoon everyone, I have a workbook with a VBA Macro assigned to an Activex Control button. When opening the workbook I got an error message saying that form controls were not compatible outside of the MS Excel Desktop app. To get around this problem, I removed the Activex form control and inserted a shape in to the workbook which had the macro assigned. when the workbook is open in Desktop, clicking on the shape prompts the macro to run, however when the same workbook is open in teams, clicking the shape just selects it and doesnt prompt the macro to run. My question is: Are Macros completely incompatible with excel files hosted on MS Teams? And if they are, how do I add in a button or visual aid that once clicked, executes the macro? Hi guys, I have a question related to both Teams and Excel functions, wondering if anyone of you has any ideas? 🙂 Our team is going to hold a 2-month training where there will be 15 trainees with 5 trainers. Trainees have to submit their assignments, trainers will grade and update comments on a tracker. I'm under the impression that this can be done with the Teams education account, but we are using the Teams business account Here is what we would like to see/do: 1. Method to submit assignments: - Is there any easy way for all trainees to submit their individual test via Teams? (Only trainers can review/download/grade the test, trainees won't be able to see each other tests) - Once trainees have submitted the test, is it possible to automatically update in a tracker (would be great if timestamp is included) and notify his/her own trainer? 2. Method to track grades/feedback - Ideally, trainees have their own benchmark tracker and we can link their data into a master grades/feedback tracker that only trainers can see. - Once trainers have updated the master tracker, trainees can see their own grades in their own benchmark tracker - If that’s not possible, we either have to copy and paste in people’s data to master or give people a blinded ID for anonymity. Or we can set one Excel tracker, where trainees can only see their individual scores, and trainers can see all scores. Not sure if there is other Teams app that is applicable for this situation (e.g. power automate), would be great if you guys can share some insights, thank you so much! 🙂1.9KViews0likes1CommentView SharePoint page on mobile devices.
Hi, The goal is to show only one tab in a Excel document. I followed these instructions and it worked perfect, on a PC. But users on other devices, like mobile phone is asked to open the page, and the all the tabs in the original work sheet is shown. Is there any settings for mobile users? My form does not update the excel sheet when new responses are submitted. I was expecting a live connection that would update the excel, as the form received new responses. The excel has been added to (for example formulas, added columns, and hidden columns). Is there a way to update without creating a new excel each time, and therefor losing the formatting that has been added.1.9KViews0likes4CommentsPermissions in Excel in MS Teams
I've been looking all over the web and can't seem to find anything on this subject. Is it possible to manage who can view and edit specific worksheets in an excel file in MS Teams. I am aware that it is possible to manage the overall access and permission for a document or folder, but is it possible to manage permissions on a worksheet basis? The concrete issue: I have an excel workbook containing sensitive information regarding some sales, and part of the team should be able to view the first worksheet in the excel file, and only a few members should be able to view and edit the entire excel workbook.15KViews0likes1CommentTeams is changing Excel Formulas
Hi, This might be a simple fix for someone but I have an excel worksheet with the formula =XLOOKUP(1,AD37:AD39,AC37:AC39) which works perfectly within excel on the desktop but when I upload it to teams it adds the @ sign =@XLOOKUP(1,AD37:AD39,AC37:AC39) and breaks the formula. Why would it do this? I then have to go into the excel file on teams to delete the @ for it to work.. Any tips/help would be appreciated.1.4KViews0likes0CommentsPorblema de Excel con Teams
Gracias1.4KViews0likes2Comments
