Hello everyone, I work as an IT Support Tech in a company. Today, a user came with a date format issue on excel but only in teams. She tried to put a french date format in teams, but the software changed the date format all the time to put an english date. When I opened the documents in excel in local, we could put a french format to a date. Do you have any idea of where this issu can come from ? Thank you in advance,31KViews1like12CommentsPermissions in Excel in MS Teams
I've been looking all over the web and can't seem to find anything on this subject. Is it possible to manage who can view and edit specific worksheets in an excel file in MS Teams. I am aware that it is possible to manage the overall access and permission for a document or folder, but is it possible to manage permissions on a worksheet basis? The concrete issue: I have an excel workbook containing sensitive information regarding some sales, and part of the team should be able to view the first worksheet in the excel file, and only a few members should be able to view and edit the entire excel workbook.15KViews0likes1CommentMicrosoft Teams & Excel Hanging/Freezing
Greetings All, After using MS Teams daily now for better part of the year, As of lately our core team has been experiencing issues where Excel will Hang/Freeze specifically during Screen Share Sessions. What is interesting is that although Excel seems to become unresponsive, the software will continue to function. The only caveat to the problem is that Excel GUI will stop updating. The software will remain in a frozen state where no actions will update the GUI and the software will remain this way until restarted. If multiple Excel Workbooks / instances are open, all open instances will suffer the same symptoms. Using short cuts like CTRL-S will continue to save any changes made but not physically update anything on the screen. Symptoms: Not an isolated case to my development box. We are seeing these issues on multiple employee pc's throughout the day. Only replicable when using Screen Share on a specific Software (Excel). Sharing the entire screen will not reproduce this error. I have browsed the forums and have seen that some people are experiencing similar issues with PowerPoint. I have recently reinstalled teams and cleared my local cache.12KViews3likes1CommentExcel Tab in Channel, only show certain/single sheets
Anyone know of a way to display a single excel sheet on a Teams channel tab instead of an entire document, without hiding the sheets in the document itself? I suspect not, as the settings are all very simple and straightforward (and lacking, but it is what it is).Solved12KViews1like3CommentsMake a Excel file with Power Automate in a Microsoft Team
Is it possible to use Power Automate for creating a new Excel file from a Template as a trigger with Power Automate in Microsoft Teams? Hi I was wondering if there is a way to get teams to stop opening up excel files in the middle of the sheet. Everytime I open an excel file in teams I always have to scroll left to get to column A, and up to get to line 1. Is there a way to fix this?9.5KViews0likes3CommentsNo Longer Able to Edit in Desktop App
For some reason, I no longer have the option to edit a file that's saved in a Team Channel using the desktop app? I used to have "edit in browser" and "edit in desktop app" as options when viewing the file within teams but the latter option is no longer there? This is very annoying as one of the advantages of Teams and Office 365 over Google Docs is that you could do this, because the browser based editors are not great to use, and have limited functionality. Why has this been removed? When is it coming back? Thanks, Alan7.9KViews1like2CommentsAssigning Macros in MS Teams Excel Workbooks to Buttons
Good Afternoon everyone, I have a workbook with a VBA Macro assigned to an Activex Control button. When opening the workbook I got an error message saying that form controls were not compatible outside of the MS Excel Desktop app. To get around this problem, I removed the Activex form control and inserted a shape in to the workbook which had the macro assigned. when the workbook is open in Desktop, clicking on the shape prompts the macro to run, however when the same workbook is open in teams, clicking the shape just selects it and doesnt prompt the macro to run. My question is: Are Macros completely incompatible with excel files hosted on MS Teams? And if they are, how do I add in a button or visual aid that once clicked, executes the macro?
