Under the Edge section of the Settings Catalog, we have this: Similar child settings... Similiar description... Only one configuration in the Edge documentation (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-policies#downloadrestrictions) Settings in the documentation of course don't reference what is in the Intune settings....not frutstrating at all. So which one works? Or do both work?52Views0likes0CommentsiOS/iPadOS deployed Edge crashing after last update

I'm looking for some advice on managing Microsoft Edge settings for our BYOD employees. Specifically, I want to push configuration profiles to Microsoft Edge for users who access our environment through their personal devices, without enrolling these devices into Intune or our corporate environment. The issue I'm facing is that these settings don't seem to apply unless the devices are enrolled, which I'd like to avoid because the people will be hiring will not work with us long, at all. These temp workers will be completely browser-based, nothing will be stored on the device and no programs will need to be installed. I've got my configuration profiles in place, as well as my conditional access. Conditional access and MCAS settings are applied, just not configuration profiles. Sorry if this is a really dumb question, I'm really bad about missing the most obvious solutions. I really appreciate any advice and suggestions.Solved2.1KViews0likes6CommentsIntune AAD Shared device: SSO not working in Edge/Chrome
We have enrolled Android devices as Azure active directory shared devices. When logged in, SSO is working for Teams & Office app. When we open a weblink to our Intranet or SAP, Edge doesn't log in automatically and says 'add account to synchronise'.1.3KViews0likes3CommentsEdge iOS authentication loop on Intune-managed device with Microsoft Enterprise SSO plug-in enabled
Hello Team, I'm experiencing a pretty weird issue with Edge on an iPhone 12 (16.5) enrolled in Intune with user affinity. I have an Azure AD user logged into the browser with sync enabled. The user is logged in to all Microsoft apps using the Microsoft Enterprise SSO plug-in for Apple devices.. Here's a .gif of the issue: Whenever I attempt to login to any website that uses Azure AD as its idP, the browser gets stuck at the login.microsoftonline.com endpoint and eventually enters what appears to be a loop with the Microsoft Authenticator app. This behavior is exclusive to Edge. All other Microsoft apps authenticate the user successfully using the SSO plug-in. Here are the Intune management settings enabled on the device: Device configuration policy settings Single sign-on app extension is enabled SSO app extension type: Azure AD Additional configuration for single sign-on app extension App configuration policy settings for Edge App protection policy for all Microsoft apps In addition to those settings, I do also have Safari hidden via a device restrictions policy. The goal is for all users to use Edge only. Any idea what might be driving this issue?6.3KViews0likes9CommentsOutlook / Office links opening in Edge (with Sidebar)
Hi All, There has been a recent change in the way that URL's from office, in my case Outlook, open.. For my current employer they use specific SaaS tools that only work in Google Chrome so i've set the default browser for all workplaces on Chrome. Same as this tutorial: Set Google Chrome as Default Browser Using Intune – Learn Azure, OpenAI, M365, Terraform, Cybersecurity (ntweekly.com) But now the strange thing, despite having Chrome as default browser on the system, and having a cloud policy and configuration profile activated, the weblinks still open in EDGE.. Very frustrating for end users, does anyone have a permanent solution for this or encountered the same?Solved1.6KViews0likes4CommentsHow to whitelist Chrome extensions for MS Edge?
I'm trying to whitelist some Chrome extensions for Edge using Intune however it has not been successful so far. I've seen multiple forums online mentioning that you need the appID and the update URL separated by a semi colon, which I have done however that didn't work. Ex - hncgkmhphmncjohllpoleelnibpmccpj;https://clients2.google.com/service/update2/crx The extensions can be downloaded on Chrome with no problem, its just Edge. The setting I'm configuring is Allow specific extensions to be installed Any ideas on how to get this working? I do have the Intune setting configured to allow other extension stores (Configure default state of Allow extensions)1.2KViews0likes0CommentsAndroid : SSO Application Protection Policy - Edge
When a user launches our Play Store Application, authenticates (SSO, SAML2) on the app, they are presented with the form, enter the username and password, click sign in, and then the user is presented with "You can't get there from here" and a link to "Launch in Edge". When "Launch in Edge is clicked the user receives "ERR_UNKNOWN_URL_SCHEME" in the application. Outside of the application, Edge is launched, and is directed to login.microsoftonline.com:443, then is redirected to our home page/user control panel of our browser based application, not the application running on the device. It seems like Intune has defined our application as being browser based. Is this due to the application not interpreting the URL 'https-intunemam://login.microso.....' ? Would an exception be needed for our application to use the native browser? Any direction would be helpful.2.7KViews1like2Comments
