Edge Dev 139.0.3365.2 does not open / crashes
When clicking the Edge Dev Icon, a full screen window in light blue colour opens, with no text or any graphics (no title bar, no symbols..), after a few seconds, this window crashes. It is not possible to start Edge dev. I tried to repair it within "installed apps" in Win Settings, but with the same result. Restarting the Computer did not solve the problem. Starting an inprivate window does work (right click on icon - in private), but if I want to check the settings, Edge crashes immediately.
Edge Dev (latest version) crashes when autofill tries to open
Hey there, Yesterday i spoke with a guy from Microsoft's Support (the official one ofcourse) for like.. 4 hours... trying to resolve my Microsoft Edge crashing and the autofill on several websites (including microsoft.com itself) to not function, like.. it pops up but i can't press any of the saved items. Does anyone.. have a clue at all? The Support person already tried reinstalling, clearing cookies, cache, extensions etc etc.. it's just not working. I'm honestly clueless.Specific workspace crashes Edge (only 14 tabs)
One specific workspace refuses to open up successfully. Instead, it crashes my whole Edge (Dev). I've tried almost every tip out there - disabling all extensions, repairing Edge, restarting Edge and laptop. Also tried in stable and Canary builds. Anyone any ideas on how I might recover the workspace or at least see the tabs I had saved in there so I can recreate it? UPDATE: have just managed to open the workspace in BETA channel (again, crashes in DEV and Canary although DEV has been fine with this workspace until now or at least the last week or so when I must have when I must have last opened it). Version 90.0.789.1 (Official build) dev (64-bit) Edge immediately crashes when pressing Windows + . (when opening emoji panel). I have sent feedback. Is anyone experiencing this too? It happened on a post on Conversations | Connect with Windows Engineers (Windows Community). Thanks.
Edge browser 100% CPU, requires Force Quit (macOS Mojave and v91.0.864.48)
I'm reporting a problem I've experienced with Edge since I began using it six months ago. After using Edge for a few hours, it will begin using 100% CPU. According to the Task Manager, it is the "Browser" thread that is using this CPU. If I Quit the application, all the windows close but it doesn't fully quit; I have to do command-option-esc to open the Force Quit window (where it says "Microsoft Edge (not responding)" and then I'm able to Force Quit it. When I relaunch it and re-open the web pages I was using, it works fine (until later that day or the next day, when the process repeats). Does anyone know how I can troubleshoot this so I can file a useful bug report? This has happened many times over the past 6 months, over many different Edge versions (I'm always using the latest stable version). I'm not able to reproduce the issue when I want, but it happens regularly every or every-other day. I'm using macOS Mojave 10.14.6 on a 2015 MacBook Pro.
