Join Skype for Business Meeting delay
Hi everyone, I wonder if someone could help me. We‘re using Skype for business OnPrem 2019 and some of our customers complaining about joining meetings. Sometimes it takes several minutes to let you join a meeting. Have you ever experienced something like this delays? We can’t really see anything on the Skype for business server. Could it be related to the hardware itself for example drivers? Thanks in advance.
Skype for bussiness settings not saved in VDI
Hello In my organiztion working with VDI workstations , the settings in the Skype is not saved I tired to save the registry value in this location : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync And folder in this location : AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync AppData\Roaming\Skype\RootTools AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync But is doesn't work , i have also the "Dynamic Environment Manager" but i dont know where is the Setting location saved , the most importent is the Volume that change every logout and login to station Can someone can help my with that , Thanks in advance

Hello. My name is Alexander Burganov. I'm a php programmer. I'm looking for a sponsor for my startup. The conditional name is "Chat for websites". The point is in a universal chat that is automatically embedded in any site and allows you to exchange information both between people and between sites. The user types in the browser something like this line http://chatforwebsites.ru?go_url=www.microsoft.com. As a result, the standard microsoft site opens, but at the bottom right there is a small chat window for exchanging text messages. Instead of microsoft, you can specify any other site. There are three ways to exchange messages: 1. From person to person 2. From the person to the site. In this case, the message will be received by all people who currently have the site specified in the message open. 3. From site to site. This is a parallel transfer of information from one person's site to another person's site. There are two types of information transfer: single and group. In a single transfer, the sender moves the cursor to the item to be sent and presses Ctrl+S. This command sends the content of the element to the chat. After that, the "Send" button is pressed. The recipient, after receiving the content of the element, moves the cursor to the element in which the message should be written and presses Ctrl+R. After executing this command, the message from the chat will be written to the selected item. In a group transfer, the sender specifies the name of the attribute in the chat and clicks the "Send" button. In this case, the elements will be matched by the value of this attribute. Hello, Here is the scenario, We are trying to schedule a webinar using Skype for Business 2016. Well, I know using "Meet Now" we are able to create a link and send it to registered participant via email to join the conference room, or webinar. However we need a reserved link that do not change and let them know that link beforehand. How' that possible? Thanks
Skype for business default anonymous user to lobby
Good day, I would like to know, the meeting setting that we would use in the client (as following link). Is there a way to default all anonymous participant to wait at the lobby from server end? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/change-participant-settings-for-skype-for-business-meetings-9175e297-de5f-43b2-8e0f-85cc05e24986 I have a global meeting configuration setting which has the "Admit anonymous users by default" checked. I have created a Pool meeting configuration for pool1 and have "Admit anonymous users by default" unchecked. Pardon me for not able to alter the global setting. with pool1 user, i tried creating a meeting and in the client option, i am able to set "Anyone (no restrictions)". I have tried to send the meeting invite to hotmail account, and the hotmail guest is able to just hop in without staying in the lobby. What was the possible wrong here, how do I enforce from server end to have all anonymous participants waiting at the lobby? Cheer!
powerpoint in desktop sharing
Our issue is : While sharing a presentation in a two participants skype video conference meeting , some pages were written in a small font that is so hard to the other side to see, as we could not find a way to zoom it in , we had to share the desktop to the other side , to zoom it in for him to see , In the next 20 seconds , the connection becomes bad , some times lost , We are using a 4 Mb of VPN connection , which should be OK ,so it got to be something else, We have tried to close cameras on both sides while sharing desktop and zooming in a page of presentation , that made some improvement in the connection, I believe this is not a practical solution , as if this the way the skype works, it should close the cam. automatically one the desktop is shared, Pls. advise how to resolve this case ,
Skype for Business 2015 and LDAP
Do Skype for Business 2015 uses LDAP to communicate to Active Directory (Domain Controllers) and clients? checking first before we disable LDAP in favour of LDAPS. If yes, please help to provide documents or how do I check if LDAP is really in used? Also, if yes, how can we change LDAP to LDAPS communication if we want to disable LDAP? Hi Community, Recently, I have come across a scenario worth sharing. PSTN calls drops after 15 mins or 30 mins with Audio Codes SBC or Gateway. This can be related or occur due to numerous reason, however if everything is in place (Network to Configuration) and still the call fails, then you can try the below and if it makes the difference. User makes PSTN call > the flow and connectivity is established > after 15 or 30 mins you see BYE message generated resulting in call drop. changing/modifying the "RTCPActiveCalls" and "EnableSessionTimer" may help or simple does't make any difference. Upon isolation, found that issue is mostly triggered due to a setting in Audio Codes S.B.C "Reset SRTP Upon Re-Key" is enabled (usually disabled by default) By going in to the IP profiles > disabling the setting in AudioCodes the issue was resolved and calls no longer were dropped. P.S - This solution may or may not help you (no harm in trying), But its best recommended to contact support and take assistance if needed 🙂
