Skype for Business 2015 and LDAP

Do Skype for Business 2015 uses LDAP to communicate to Active Directory (Domain Controllers) and clients? checking first before we disable LDAP in favour of LDAPS.

If yes, please help to provide documents or how do I check if LDAP is really in used?

Also, if yes, how can we change LDAP to LDAPS communication if we want to disable LDAP?

    Hi Edgar Malata,

     

    For what i understand mostly kerberos / NTLM to communicate for LDAP traffic in most of Microsoft application. I think for non Mirosoft products it can be an issue if they are just using LDAP.

     

    Best is to test if it is working, you will see event error if there is no AD connection
