ADCS Two Tier PKI Hierarchy Deployment
Hello Everyone, we have a design that a customer would want to deploy for a two tier hierarchy AD CS, the problem is I cant figure out the configuration between the two issuing certificate and the DNS especially on the CRL, and the load balancer, as anyone done this or have an article with the steps i could take. assistance will be highly appreciated as i am stuck. unable to access RDS URL on Remote Desktop/ RemoteApp but am able to browse to the URL over the web
Hi Guys, Users that try to access the RDS URL via Remote desktop or Remoteapp gives the following error message "Something Went wrong when we tried to sync your apps. if this keeps happening ask your admin or tech support for help." but when they type the URL within the browser it works perfectly fine. - Certificates all are trusted and confirmed to be working - Windows defender has been disabled for testing but no luck - URL resolves to correct Public IP - No replies when pining the URL or IP Address - COnfirmed i am using the correct URL All help hugely appreciated
Adding Windows 2012R2 to Windows 2022 datacentre
We have Windows 2022 Datacentre (DC) (based on cores) with a license key installed on a virtual server. We have several virtual servers working fine. Because of an old software we need to create one Windows 2012R2 datacentre server. I understand Windows 2022 DC is down gradable (free of charge) to previous supported versions (2012R2 is supported tell October 2023) we will stop using before then. We don't know how get the key for the Windows 2012 R2 DC - it is not on the Microsoft portal. Any help will be much appreciated -
Copia de Seguridad Windows Server 2016 - Espacio en Disco Insuficiente - Volumen Fantasma
Hola Buenos días, Me sucede algo muy raro desde hace una semana. Tenía configurada una copia de seguridad diaria de reconstrucción completa en mi Server 2016, llevaba meses funcionando. Desde hace una semana la copia no se hace por un supuesto espacio en disco insuficiente. He formateado el disco de destino, que tiene 1TB, mientras que el C:/ del servidor solo utiliza 480GB A la hora de ejecutar la copia me aparece un volumen desconocido que duplica el supuesto tamaño de la copia de seguridad, y por tanto no cabe en el disco de destino. Me estoy volviendo loco para poder eliminar ese volumen y poder tener las copias correctas como antes. Adjunto Capturas de Pantalla

Hi current setup. 1. login to 3rd party web app using ADFS 2. WIA works from domain joined clients on LAN 3. all external clients login using forms based og login page on ADFS 4. internal non-domain joined clients and iPads/Macs won't fallback to username/password on internal LAN, and will somehow go directly to 3rd parties web app showing Accecss Denied 5. 3rd party web app is configured to use WIA when auth request comes from our LAN public IPs, and password protect when it comes from any other public IPs Problem. 1. having non-domain joined clients, and non windows systems fallback to username/password auth when on LAN Troubleshooting steps taken 1. get-AdfsGlobalAuthenticationPolicy PrimaryIntranetAuthenticationProvider - (FormsAuthentication, WindowsAuthentication) WindowsIntegratedFallbackEnabled - True 2. added Chrome iOS agent to supported agents (Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OSX) Will this have to be tweaked at 3rd party web app aswell? We have other 3rd party systems configured and they work with WIA fallback
Task Scheduler triggering every few milliseconds
I have deployed an application and set the task scheduler to call my application every 30mins at customer site. This is Windows Server 2016. In between every 30mins, the task scheduler is calling my application every few milliseconds. Thus, there are many many calls made to my program. Why is this so? Is there some Windows patch that need to be updated?
configuration refresh failed error in server 2012
In server 2012, I am facing problem of configuration refresh failed error and this error massage is not removed and when i click on add remove roles menu, I get error massage " server manager is colleting inventory data. the wizard will vailable after collection finished"Windows Server 2012 R2 AD suspect user profile crash (Icons Disappear, Windows button no response)
Hello All, Our company using Windows Server 2012 R2, and setup AD in this server. All user using Remote Desktop to sign in this server. One of user find all icons disappear after login to AD server by remote desktop, Windows logo no response, and system tray is empty. But through Administrator profile to check this user found all icons still in it's profile. This issue happen twice in 3 months time. My solution is create new account and copy all files to new account but we would like to check is it possible to fix this issue. thanks JasonRemote Apps constantly get focus and coming to the foreground
Hello, we have several Remote Apps published from Windows Server 2022. Users can access them perfectly fine without any connection issues. However, these applications keep coming to the foreground constantly, which becomes annoying when the user is working on other programs on their local machine. For example, a user is typing in a locally installed Word program, and suddenly the RemoteApp for the billing software comes to the foreground, taking focus away from Word. If the user doesn't notice, they continue typing in the Remote App window. We haven't found any relevant settings that could be causing this behavior. We have disabled automatic reconnection to see if it has any impact, but it hasn't helped. Both the client machines and the server hosting the Remote Apps are fully updated with Windows Server 2022. This issue occurs on both Windows 10 and Windows 11 machines. It is truly frustrating and makes it very difficult to use the remote applications since they can never be left in the background. We haven't found a solution in other threads, except for some very old similar situations related to Windows 8 or something similar. Any clues or assistance would be appreciated.
