4 TopicsMindmap in Teams - Please come to the party Microsoft.
We are looking for a Microsoft app for Mind Mapping. Similar to how Whiteboard is a standalone app as well as one that is integrated into Teams. Use Cases: Individual brainstorming for individual work Individuals brainstorming for team work Teams brainstorming for team work I notice that whiteboard continues to add more templates that are useful for team work but the lack of mind mapping function in Whiteboard is is glaring. I have added my vote to user voice for this but with the amount of votes there I doubt this request will make it onto the radar for consideration. I can see there are a number of 3rd party options but we would rather use something by Microsoft that is designed to be integrated and works well. We would even be willing to consider an in-built mind mapping feature anywhere else in M365 e.g. OneNote, Word etc. Has anybody encountered this feature elsewhere in M365 and I have just missed it? Our organization has actively embraced Teams and been using SharePoint prior to Teams. We really dove head first and created Teams for various departments, functional areas, and one-off situations and the impact has been noticeable (positively). That said, we are engaging on a global corporate strategy to reign in our data to ensure we don't carry several copies, files are easy to find, and yet still secure. The leadership approach was to create a single Document Library and have all areas of the business dump files in this flat folder structure. This a nightmare for permission/access management, it removes the majority of collaboration available on the platform, and feels outdated. With a concurrent NetSuite implementation that would see SharePoint files available in NetSuite for record association this approach made sense but I am seeing a lot of negative effects of this approach and fear we are headed down a road that will make us worse not better. I am seeking advice from anyone/everyone out there that has dealt with a similar situation as I know there is much better approaches that provide data security, ease of use, "less painful" permission management, and enabled collaboration. Ideally, I want to maintain an approach of Teams with SharePoint enabled sites for each functional area and department yet have this feel like it is in one-cohesive location enabling the requirements listed above. As additional context, I had dabbled with using a Hub but we ended up setting the communication site used as the Hub as our root site and that is now not possible (Hub site cannot be the Root site). Maybe the solution is around a Hub. I look forward to any recommendations and dialog and thank you for your time!2.3KViews0likes4CommentsMicrosoft Teams for Virtual Study Group for Women
I started on an online University to obtain my Bachelor's in Business Administration back in 2017. I learned about OneNote for the first time, then SharePoint and now Teams. I love Microsoft and the power to share information it has. I am anxiously awaiting to hear back on ventures I have with Corporate and soon hope to start diving in on what this journey to the Cloud could do for employee engagement. I have all these ideas and working on getting them organized so they all get heard by the right people.882Views0likes0CommentsAlternate to confluence
Hi All , I am searching for an alternate to confluence as our org is going to sunset confluence wiki. we use teams for communication is there any Teams app we can use for collaborative work ? we are looking for a brilliant software like confluence which can really reduce the email traffic and also at the same time keep every body in sync. as our organisation is big , if it is a Microsoft teams app then we can really keep all the people involved project notified on the development as it would be LDAP integrated.2.2KViews1like0Comments
