board
4 TopicsP4W: One Board is not enough. We need Multiple Boards and different Task types
One Board is simply not enough to run a project, as you are dealing with different Teams and Task types. Every project team and task types might have different stages/buckets. For example: The Marketing Team and Logistics Team has a completely different project delivery workflow but I must manage them together in one project plan. All of a sudden: there are no different task types in Project. I use categories or write letters in the title, which is very difficult to handle, as the categories are mixed with so many others (like countries for example). So: I need different task types and different boards in one project to manage everything. While thinking how to stick into Ms Project as an alternative to other Task management Systems. This is one big dealbreaker for me. One Idea to solve it: Forget the main tasks in the board and show the checklist points only. So you would be indepentent of the planned tasks (I guess thats your main problem when thinking of multiple boards)Solved2.3KViews0likes7CommentsIssues when using the lists board view in Teams
Hello, We recently started using the board view in Teams lists. This works fine except for a few things. Below are a few things we are struggling with: - After updating a card, the board is not refreshed automatically. - We cannot prioritise the cards vertically in the column If someone has a solution for this, please let us know! 🙂1.2KViews0likes1CommentCannot Unlink Azure Devops Boards Project from ADB app in a Teams Chat
In Teams, you can use the Azure Boards application to link your Team environment to your Azure project. You can also do this within a chat between another person or group of people using the Azure Boards app inside the chat. My team moved to a new project recently and I am unable to redirect the Azure Boards app to that new project inside a chat; the Azure Board app was successfully linked to the new project in all channels, but chats app will not save the new project setting. Reproduction Steps: Open a chat with a person Right click the Azure Boards icon in the toolbar, click Settings In the new screen, select the organization name, click Continue Set the Project to a DIFFERENT project than the one originally used, Click Continue The window closes Return to the settings screen and note that the message at the top indicates that "Azure Boards is currently linked to [previous project path] for your chat" Troubleshooting steps taken: Change the project path in the settings, as described above - failed Uninstall the chat app, reinstall, reconnect. Settings are carried over from the previous configuration, so there is no opportunity to change the project path - failed Attempted all above steps from teams.microsoft.com - failed1.5KViews0likes1CommentSet permissions by team / board
Hello, I currently have 4 different teams and 4 boards (1 for each team) in one Azure DevOps project. Currently, I am able to access all four boards, despite being on 1 team. Is there a way to configure permissions so that I can only see the boards that belong to teams I'm on? Thanks, Al999Views1like0Comments
