Hello I have a question about Teams for Android Auto. Is this ever going to be updated into something useful? Currently it doesn't do anything other then attempt to display messages received. This sole "feature" does not even work. I get messages on my laptop and my phone but nothing comes through AA. There is no ability to take a call through the AA system nor is there an ability to join calls through it. I fully understand there are limits for a car based system due to safety concerns, but this the current product is currently half-baked and broken. Is there anything on the road map to improve the app? I've tried all the usual recommendations of updating, clear cache, reinstalling etc. My phone is a S22 Ultra and I have the most up to date Teams and Android Auto Apps. Can someone please shed some light on this? Thanks90KViews11likes43CommentsDisable typing prediction in Teams Android app
I can't seem to figure out how to disable typing prediction in the Teams Android app. This isn't related to the Android keyboard, but seems to be something that Microsoft added to the app. Check this gif, where I attempt to type, "There's no such directory, right?" I ignore the suggestion and continue typing, but then Teams puts the cursor **behind** the next word I type ("directory"), and then the next word I type after that ("there") obliterates the previous word and replaces it with the ignored suggestions. Obviously, this gets in the way of efficient text input (if there's even such a thing on a touchscreen keyboard) and actually makes typing **more** difficult. There must be a switch to turn it off somewhere, but I just can't find it.Solved6KViews2likes5CommentsAndroid 12 Screen Share is broken - unable to interact with screen once sharing has started
Any device updated to android 12 is able to start sharing the screen, however once you go back to the home screen of the device (or any other app exept Teams) you are then unable to touch anything that shows inside the red screen share area. It is almost as if the red outline that indicates that you are sharing is sat as a layer above all items on the screen stopping you from interacting with anything behind it. Running the official release of android 12 on a Google Pixel 5 and 4a. Teams app is fully up to date from the play store - reinstalling does not solve. Any ideas? Hello, my company's Teams account has also been linked as guest to a customer tenant. What is happening is that each time I click on a link to a Teams meeting created by my customer on his tenant, my Android Teams switches automatically from my primary tenant to customer's one and, at that point, I get an error message linked to authorization (maybe some missing license on my customer's tenant for my account). Question is: is there a way to tell Teams on Android to always use my primary tenant when joining meetings, so that I can join any customer meeting as a guest? Thanks, Domenico.2.3KViews1like1CommentMS Teams - When sharing screen on Android, I am unable to navigate, its as if the screen is locked.
Hello, I am trying to share my screen on my android device and have been having some issues. The screen share works, the person on my call can see my screen without any issues. However, my device itself is completely locked. I cannot swipe left or right, I cannot open my app draw or click on any of my apps on the home screen. The only thing I can do is swipe down my notifications bar. I want to share an app with a colleague and talk them through steps to train. I'm using Pixel 3a on Android 12 (latest version). Update I have also rasied this issue with Microsoft Answers: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msteams/forum/all/ms-teams-when-sharing-screen-on-android-i-am/77e0163b-955c-4a94-906d-aef5594375683.5KViews1like5CommentsAndroid Devices and Login challenges
We have been running into an odd problem. We have Intune setup with conditional access policies and when attempting to login Android-based collaboration devices (Poly X50, TC8, Yealink Phones, Poly C60 or Collab Bars etc), the experience differs. *sometimes* after entering the Code generated from the device, when logging in we see either: “You’re Signing in to Microsoft Authentication Broker on another device located in United States, if its not you, close this page” OR “You’re signing in to Microsoft Intune Company Portal on another device located in United States, if not you, close this page” When the former login occurs (MS Auth Broker) the device goes through its motions, looks to be logging in and eventual FAILS every time. While when we get the Intune login, it works everytime. The Device Accounts arnt in play here because the login occurs prior to the account info being entered, and everytime we are logging-in in INCOGNITO mode from a browser regardless. Also seems not device specific, and have no clue why its picking one versus the other for login. Anyone else seen this and any advice? Thank you very much Alan2.9KViews1like3CommentsTeams in Kiosk on Android doesn't allow menu in calls
I have configured an Android device (Samsung) in Kiosk mode to run only Teams. It seems to work well EXCEPT when in a call you cannot tap the ellipse (...) to transfer the call to another user. It works when you first start the phone from shutdown or after a restart, but stops working after an hour or so. Anyone come across this? Have I set to many restrictions on the device?1.3KViews1like0Comments
