account management

Good afternoon all, I am working with a non for-profit organization. I am slowly trying to implement processes to manage 365 for them as most of them are not tech savy. I have been playing around with power automate (not too familiar with it myself) in order to create a user and add it to certain teams' groups and mail distribution groups. So far I have managed to get it to create the account and add the user to the teams group. However, in doing my research I have found Microsoft has removed the functionality to add users to a mail distribution group. Is there a way around this that I can implement? I came across this article but am not sure from here https://damobird365.com/add-members-to-a-distribution-list/ Thanks all for your help.25Views0likes3Comments👋 Welcome to the Microsoft Tech Community!

Our Mission at the MTC is to provide a community Microsoft users can get the latest news, ask questions, learn new skills, and connect with peers and Microsoft experts from around the world. This month, we are rolling out a new ranking system designed to recognize users’ contributions to the community and add a little more ‘Microsoft’ to the MTC. What are the Community Ranks? We now have two ranking ladders to recognize both types of our tech community members. We have our Contributors Ranks for those who come to the MTC to interact and ask/answer questions in our forums, blogs, and events. Some of you Microsoft gamers may notice the subtle nod 😉 Contributor Ranks Onyx Contributor Titanium Contributor Diamond Contributor Platinum Contributor Gold Contributor Silver Contributor Bronze Contributor Steel Contributor Iron Contributor Brass Contributor Copper Contributor And for our members who come to the MTC to catch up on news and learn something new from the blogs, we have our Reader Ranks! These are replacing our Visitor/Member ranks, and once you start posting in the MTC, you will move into the Contributor Ranks. Reader Ranks Senior Reader Prolific Reader Regular Reader Frequent Reader Casual Reader Occasional Reader New Reader (Please note that these rankings are intended for fun and are not a measure of MTC’ers technical competence.) What goes into the Community Ranks? When you become a member of the MTC, you start climbing the ranking ladder, starting as a New Reader. As you contribute more and more to the community, you will start to climb the rank ladder. Here are some of the key ingredients that go into our ranking recipe (*These points are awarded each time an activity is completed): Viewing messages (0.25 points) Commenting on blogs, ideas, and TKB articles (1 point) Creating new discussion topics (1 point) Replying to forum discussions (2 points) Giving (2 points) and receiving Kudos (4 points) Contributing Ideas (5 points) Authoring blog articles (10 points) Publishing Knowledge Base articles (10 points) Getting your replies marked as a solution (15 points) Simply put, the more you engage and interact with the MTC, the more points you earn and the higher your community ranking will be! If you have any questions on these new rankings or you’d like to share feedback with the Tech Community Team, let us know in the comments below.13KViews37likes58CommentsAccount hacked
Hello, The title pretty much sums it up. My account got hacked while I was asleep and it had the passkey removed while I was asleep. I tried to recover it after I woke up but the email was already changed. I tried the account recovery form but had no success with it and I do not know where to go now. I do not mind not being able to recover it but I would like it to be disabled because the One Drive connected to it has some of my files. Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance.93Views0likes1CommentPosts/Answers not appearing- submitted but not visible to me and other users
Hi together, I've been actively contributing to the Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Security discussion categories over the past 3 weeks. My profile counter shows 9 posts, but I can only see one of them in my Recent Discussions list - the other ones are completely inaccessible, not just to other community members, but also to me. I cannot view, edit, or manage them in any way. The posts cover technical practitioner topics and I put significant time and effort into writing these as quality contributions for the community. My concern is that I have no way to tell what happened to these posts. There were no notifications about rejection, no indication that they're pending moderation, and no way to check their status. They simply don't appear anywhere except as a number on my profile. I completely understand the need for content moderation, especially for newer accounts. But without any feedback mechanism, I'm unable to determine whether I should wait, resubmit, or change something about how I'm posting. Could someone from the community team look into my account and help me understand what's going on with these missing posts? I'd really appreciate any guidance so I can continue contributing. Thank you!Solved120Views0likes2CommentsD365 Licensing vs Security Roles – Why can users access data without the required license?
I am working as a Power Apps developer in a Dynamics 365 environment that has the Field Service module enabled. In the same environment, some users only have Sales licenses. I assigned a security role that provides read access to the Warehouse table to a user with a Sales license. The user is able to access and read the data successfully, even though they do not have a Field Service license. This makes me unclear about how licensing is enforced in Dynamics 365. If security roles alone can grant access to tables, how do licenses actually restrict functionality? Why is it necessary to purchase additional licenses if users can still access data through security roles? Could someone clarify how licensing enforcement works in this scenario and what the best practice is?128Views0likes1CommentLive Transcript Issue

Hey all, Below is a table I have created for tracking info for a special-needs child, the staff member caring for them, the shift, the behaviour and the score (0-5). The Staff cell for each day/shift has a drop down box with a list of staff member names. The cell to the right of the staff name would have a value from 0-5 with 0 showing no behaviours up to 5, which would indicate the behaviour was 100% during the shift. What I'm trying to extract is information such as... 1) For a given behaviour, what shift sees the best and worst - trying to measure if the child has more issues in the morning for instance, verses the afternoon or night. 2) When it comes to the staff member working the shift, who is seeing better or worst behaviours - trying to measure whether the child may have an issue with or be reacting to a staff member more than another. This could come down to staff competency or personality clash. 3) It would be great if I could work out the above by day of the week - as the child is able to select what they would like to do, this could indicate weekly cycles or potential patterns in the childs behaviour as well. While this one starts on March 16th Monday, I would be creating future tables starting at the first day of the month. Possibly a separate Excel file for each month, so the files remain manageable. I'm normally ok with working out the info i need and creating formulas etc... but this one has me a bit stumped. I had started to literally create a 'Reference Data' tab where I was cherry-picking specific cell references from the below table to create a another table, duplicating information but in a different table layout... it is getting exhausting this way and I'm still no closer to being able to work the data. Hoping someone has some relatively simple fixes using XLookup or something like that. The information is being used to help with funding and activities, so it's quite important I can get this to work. If it means redesigning the table...I'll have to do that but this is the format my partner was trying to use for ease of reporting the shift/staff/behaviour/score details.
