Microsoft’s announcement of the Viva Goals retirement came as a complete surprise to the customers using Viva Goals to implement the OKR methodology for their organization. From Microsoft’s text, it seems pretty clear that Viva Goals just didn’t succeed in winning sufficient customers to warrant ongoing development. The outcome is that Microsoft cut its losses and will retire Viva Goals. https://office365itpros.com/2024/12/09/viva-goals-retirement/562Views2likes2CommentsHow to remove publisher prompt from viva engage feed
Hi, i am wondering, if it is possible to remove the publisher prompt from my viva-engage feed? In the 'Conversations'-WebPart there is this Button to change it. Is there a way to control it for the viva-embeded feed created through https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2165796? Hello Members, Please help me with this requirement below a) Remove/close this viva community - News - 6.2k users b) Continue with this community only - Newsin Exchange - 4.7k users When the News group is deleted, it would be good if the people that are in group a) are automatically added to group b) so they don´t need to enter another group on their own. Is there a proper process/solution for this? Thanks!39Views0likes2CommentsThe new Yammer Administrator role is now available in Azure Active Directory
A new role specifically for Yammer administrators is now generally available in Azure Active Directory (AAD). This role allows an AAD administrator to designate who can manage the Yammer service, from directly within AAD.23KViews2likes5CommentsCannot find any group/community in Viva Engage
With the new Viva Engage, I cannot find any group or community outside my network. How can I join a Microsoft group like the "Preview Early Access" one? When going to "All groups", I am getting this message: "There just aren't any groups to join yet. To start working in Viva Engage, create a group for any team, project, or event you’re a part of." When trying to access the link available on this page, I am getting this message: "The exact page you’re looking for isn’t here. But the information you’re looking for is somewhere out there." I also tried logging with my personal e-mail (as suggested in the known issues for EU customers section), but I cannot even login to Viva Engage.276Views0likes3CommentsCan't add Viva Engage community calendar to Outlook
We would like to experiment with using the SharePoint Online Web part that allows you to display a group calendar on a SharePoint Online page. Our idea is to use a Viva Engage community as a means to create that group calendar so that the features of a community can also be used for this scenario. I assumed that it worked similarly to Microsoft Teams whereas along as the "HiddenFromExchangeClientsEnabled" property is FALSE for the connected group, that either all community admins/members would see the group calendar show up in Outlook automatically OR you could manually add the calendar in your calendar lists in Outlook. Neither seem to be the case. What's interesting about the group that connects to a Viva Engage community is the ""HiddenFromExchangeClientsEnabled" property is FALSE by default. However, the group calendar does not appear in Outlook. As a community admin, I tried to manually add the calendar and I get an error message "Couldn't add [group]. You may not have permissions". Does anyone know why I'm running into that error and/or why the group mailbox is not showing up in Outlook by default since the property states that it is not hidden? Is it not possible to view Viva Engage group calendars in Outlook? Thanks!699Views0likes2Comments
