OS: Windows Server 2019 I created an ".appinstaller" file and package using Visual Studio 2019 Community. App Installer application is not installed. Is there Microsoft documentation or other sources with detailed install instructions. I've tried Microsoft Business Store and read about other install references but no success. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/msix/msix-server-2019 Thanks for help6.8KViews0likes2CommentsServer 2019, New Profile takes 5mins to display first app.
Following an issue with updated the Office 365 applications I have reloaded two RD servers with fresh installs of Server 2019 and the latest FSLogix, 2.9.8440.42104. Settings are applied by GPO, RoamRecycleBin is disabled. Since the reloading the servers if I sign in with a user that doesn't have a profile it takes 5mins 30secs before the applications loads. If I log the user off and back on it loads the profile straight away, so only happens when the profile is being created. There's no apparent issues with the server setup, everything else works fine. It doesn't appear to be a resource issue I can try logging in late in the evening when no one else is on the system and it will still take the same length time so appears to be something waiting to time out? Any help would be appreciated.633Views0likes1CommentError installation Windows Server 2022 Insider Preview - 0x80070001

On December 14, 2021, all editions of Windows 10, version 2004 and Windows Server, version 2004 will reach end of servicing. After that date, devices running these editions will no longer receive monthly security and quality updates containing protections from the latest security threats. We recommend that you update your devices to the latest version of Windows 10, or upgrade eligible devices to Windows 11. For information about servicing timelines and lifecycle, see Windows 10 release information, Windows 11 release information, and the Windows lifecycle FAQ.1.3KViews1like1CommentHow to add a remote LAN user to a computer and make an auto-log on to it on windows 10 pro
I have two computers with Windows 10 Pro, let's call my main computer "host" and the secondary computer "potato", ok? On the host, I have two users, one for local use and the other only for when I turn on potato, which accesses the host through this other user. I configured potato to autologon on the user that I have configured on it and to automatically start the remote connection with an .rdp file on the second host user, because I use potato only on remote connection with host. The problem is that every time I turn on the potato, I need to wait for it to go through the entire internal logon process on its user, wait until opens its explorer, wait potato remember to lunch the .rpd file, and only then it makes logon remotely on the host user. What I would like to do is add the second host user directly to potato, so that potato will log on directly to the host user, without having to go through his internal user. And so that the potato user's explorer is not running at the bottom of the MSRDP. I did a lot of research this week, and I had no success in accomplishing that feat. And as far as I can tell, apparently, the only way to make that is with host running Windows Server. So my question is: Is it possible to add this host user remotely to potato using Windows 10 Pro? If this is not possible, would anyone have a better solution on how to make potato a remote access hub (basically a thin client) in a better way? Thanks, everybody!1.6KViews1like0CommentsAdd all the features from Universal Print back in to Windows Server
Add all the features from Universal Print back in to Windows Server. There are many situations where the cloud cannot be utilized and these features would be useful. Such as in financial, healthcare, and government environments. We have a large government contract area that could use this, but they need to be on an air gaped network. Please consider this.1.4KViews5likes1CommentCan not close remote apps like Excel. Close message box loses focus.
Hi All, We are having an issue with closing remote apps like Excel located on Virtual Machines. We can connect to and open the remote apps located on an Azure Virtual Machine using Terminal Services OK. Since a recent Windows update, our Windows 10 users have been having issues with closing remote applications like Excel when using with Terminal Services. When the users close the Excel application the close message box loses focus and only appears when you scroll over the Excel icon on the taskbar. This only started after a recent Windows update and only effects our Windows 10 machines and not on our Windows 7 machines. I hope you can help Colin2.4KViews0likes1Comment
