Hello, I am encountering a persistent update failure on my MSI Katana 15 HX (Intel Core i9-14900HX). System Info: OS: Windows 11 Insider Preview Build: 26200.7171 Failed Update: 2025-12 Security Update (KB5072033) Error Code: 0x800f0983 Steps taken so far: Ran Windows Update Troubleshooter (Result: No issues detected). Entered Safe Mode and renamed the SoftwareDistribution folder to clear the update cache. Attempted to reset Windows Update components via Command Prompt. Despite these steps, the update still fails to install. Any advice or specific fixes for this Insider build would be greatly appreciated.79Views0likes2CommentsWindows Insider update stuck in endless download install restart loop
Hi everyone, I accidentally enrolled my PC into the Windows Insider Preview Program and since then I am stuck in a continuous update loop. A new Insider update appears in Windows Update, it downloads to 100 percent successfully, installs successfully, then Windows asks me to restart to complete the update. After restarting Windows shows Updating for around 30 minutes but it never completes, then the system boots normally and when I check Windows Update again the same update starts downloading again from the beginning. This cycle repeats every time so the update never finishes, I cannot properly leave the Windows Insider Preview Program and Windows Update is effectively stuck. I would like to stop this update loop, safely unenroll from the Windows Insider Preview Program and return to the stable public release of Windows without losing any data. Has anyone experienced this before or knows how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Muhammad Hasnain7Views0likes0CommentsDelivery Optimization breaking Windows 11 update downloads?
We started seeing Delivery Optimization–related issues with Windows updates after upgrading devices to Windows 11 24H2. In our SCCM environment, Windows updates begin downloading but consistently fail or stall partway through the download. In many cases, the download restarts multiple times and eventually errors out. This behavior is consistent across multiple devices and different boundaries. These same devices were patching normally prior to the 24H2 upgrade. Since moving to 24H2, patching has become unreliable, especially for larger updates. From what we’re seeing, this doesn’t look like a traditional content or boundary issue. It feels like Delivery Optimization is failing mid-transfer or not resuming downloads correctly after the OS upgrade. So far we’ve checked the following: - Boundaries and boundary groups are unchanged - Content is available and distributed correctly on DPs - No recent SCCM site or infrastructure changes - Network connectivity looks normal On the client side, we’ve been reviewing: - DataTransferService.log (downloads start but fail or restart mid-way) - DeliveryOptimization logs (showing repeated retries / stalled transfers) - CAS.log and LocationServices.log (content location looks normal) - WUAHandler.log (update detection looks fine) Overall, detection and policy seem healthy — the issue appears during the actual download phase. Has anyone else seen Delivery Optimization downloads stall or fail during Windows patching after upgrading to Windows 11 24H2? If so, did you find a specific DO setting, policy change, or workaround that stabilized patching?32Views0likes0CommentsCamera app not wirking
