That's one of the important things that is missing in WAC 1907. even if not as part of the main features, make it available as an extension to optionally install it whoever needs it. Then, Microsoft can expect people to move from RSAT to the new WAC.16KViews6likes4CommentsWindows Admin Center: Revert "Use WinRM over HTTPS only" setting
We just upgraded our Windows Admin Center install and I accidentally checked the "Use WinRM over HTTPS only" setting during the update / prior to configuring our hosts for that feature. We want to use this, but need more time to troubleshoot roll-out. Is there a line command or anything that will allow me to undo that setting? I know if I run setup again I can (for example) change SSL thumbprint, but that setting to "Use WinRM over HTTPS only" is not available in setup again for toggling. Thanks!Solved48KViews3likes9CommentsTraditional Failover Clustering in Azure
Last month I presented a session during the “Windows Server webinar miniseries - Month of Cloud Essentials”. The session was on how to create highly available apps with Azure VMs. Following the session I was asked about setting up traditional Windows Server Clusters. This article will cover some news regarding new capabilities to deploy traditional Failover Clustering in Azure.16KViews3likes0CommentsDeploy and Install Windows Admin Center in an Azure VM
The great thing about Windows Admin Center (WAC) you manage every Windows Server doesn't matter where it is running. You can manage Windows Servers on-prem, in Azure or running at other cloud providers. Now if you want to use Windows Admin Center to manage your virtual machines running in Azure, you can use either an on-prem WAC installation and connecting it using a public IP address or a VPN connection, or you can deploy and install Windows Admin Center in Azure. This blog post will show you how you can deploy and install Windows Admin Center in an Azure virtual machine (VM). I've installed Windows Admin Center 1909 on Windows 10 build 18985, set it to only use HTTPS connections and set the custom port 6666 for it. then I followed this guide: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/113966-windows-admin-center-centrally-manage-all-your-windows-10-pcs.html now I am having problem even managing my own computer (Not domain joined), let alone the Windows Server 2019 (domain joined) which is running on Hyper-V VM on my computer. I enabled Enable-PSRemoting on Windows server 2019 and on my computer as well. still when I type in the IP address of the server in WAC, it doesn't find anything.Solved19KViews1like6CommentsDelete tags in WAC
Once you create a tag, unless I am missing something, there is no way to edit or delete it. You can remove a tag from a machine but that is about it. Eventually the list of tags will grow too large for manageability and usability and misspelled and stale tags will linger forever... Has anyone discovered a way to perform that task or is it in on a roadmap for future releases? Thank you in advance.Solved2.8KViews1like3CommentsWindows Admin Center as a Native App
When will windows admin center be coming as a native app, or at least an electron app? This has been a feature request since windows admin center had been announce and the response has always been in the future, but there have been no further updates.1.6KViews1like4CommentsUsing Active Directory Extension on Member Server
Hello WAC fellows, Is it possible to use the Active Directory extension on Member Server (with RSAT-AD-Tools installed) instead of connecting directly to a Domain Controller? I'd like to let users do certain tasks using an AD-Frontend of WAC, but I don't want to give them any kind of permission on the Domain Controllers. Ideally they would connectto a Management-Server using WAC and edit the AD using the AD-Extension. Any ideas?1.3KViews1like1Comment
