Using Active Directory Extension on Member Server

Hello WAC fellows,

Is it possible to use the Active Directory extension on Member Server (with RSAT-AD-Tools installed) instead of connecting directly to a Domain Controller?

I'd like to let users do certain tasks using an AD-Frontend of WAC, but I don't want to give them any kind of permission on the Domain Controllers.

Ideally they would connectto a Management-Server using WAC and edit the AD using the AD-Extension.

Any ideas?

I have a 2016 Domain Controller and a 2016 Member Server with WAC up and running. The Active Directory Extension is installed, RSAT and all the consoles are installed but the Active Directory Extension is not available.

Is there a way to solve this?

This post is 2021, but I also have this doubt. It would be great if we could use the remote administration tools on a member server through the WAC, it would help a lot with regard to the security of the environments.

It is currently possible to enable Remote Management Tools on the member server, but Windows Admin Center does not recognize them in its interface, despite being able to identify them as installed.
