Hi all I hope this post can help your guys having the same problem as me. Basically, I want to share my view with Hololens 2 to a TV while I make a guides. Being more specifical, the TV is a Samsung "The Frame". So, I using the web device portal for Hololens 2 in my laptop, from the laptop to TV a HDMI cable for share the screen. The problem problem is: Are actually many issues with the "live preview" feature from device portal. When the live starts (doesn't matter if is 720p or 480p) it works fine, as soon as I open any guides training, the live mode begin to have lagging trouble. Error description: Live preview stalled duo to low bandwidth or loss of connectivity. If this problem persists, consider using a lower quality stream.WMR Movement control not using hand controllers
Are there any options out there to move around in a VR game by using a method other than the WMR hand controllers, but still use the WMR controllers for other stuff? I need to sit, facing mainly forward, as I play. I'm looking for precision NOT realism. For a specific case, just for example, I'd like to be able have some way to move forward/back and turn left/right (strafe maybe) in Skyrim VR in Steam VR. I'm thinking to use a foot or feet to control movement. The hardware is not as important as knowing how to bind the additional control input. If I can get a peripheral to control the software/binding/whatever, I can rig up something. Keyboard? Joystick? Xbox/PS4/5 controller? 3rd WMR controller? I've seen Cybershoes; not really what I'm hoping to get. I'm wanting something more analog stick like or on/off switches. Again, precision movements not realism. 3DRudder might have worked, but I guess that's dead. Their shopping carts don't work and Amazon doesn't have any. There are many USB foot switches which I think would be fine if I could get the software/binding/whatever to work. I cannot believe I'm the only one who would like to do this. I've been searching for a Skyrim VR MOD but no luck. I'll use a MOD if I can get it. Though, I'd prefer a solution more inclusive of other games. Any advice appreciated!Windows Mixed Reality controller not pairing
Hello, my WMR right controllers pairing button stopped working without a reason. When I press the button it doesn't change the lightning as it should. I tried factory resetting it, but when I press the pairing button and the windows button it just starts up as usual and doesn't reset. I took it to the IT specialist, they said that the pairing button is ok and it should work. The controller sometimes does show up on Bluetooth but is unable to connect. I hope I don't have to buy a new controller. Somebody help me please ❤️931Views0likes0CommentsHalf life alyx black screen
Whenever I play half life alyx and get to a loading zone sometimes the game will stop responding for a few moments (completely normal for a valve game) but when the game finishes loading the headset will be stuck on a black screen. This has only happened in hla, does anyone have a solution?1.8KViews0likes0CommentsKill App When Tile Closed
Hi MR Devs, I'm looking for a way to kill the application when the 2D Tile/Panel/Slate is closed in the MR home. I'm using Unity to create a Win32 app for HP Reverb G2. When I start the app from the 3D launcher with windowed mode, a 2D view is created, however closing the view allows the app to survive and a user would need to switch back to desktop to close the application. Is there a WMR event of some sort my application can listen for to kill the application when its WMR 2D view is closed?[Survey] VR, AR, MR for developers, Revised
Hello, I am a second year student in Software Engineering, working on a thesis regarding authentication through eye-tracking and recognition and the security of these methods. The research is important because of the steady increase and development within the xR field. Eye-recognition and tracking is becoming a bigger part of many headsets. It is important that biometric data used in these devices can't be stolen and is properly secured. Additionally it is equally important that such options can't be fooled by upcoming imaging and video techniques. So far I have been refining a survey that is primarily for developers within the field or those with previous experience. I would be thankful if you or any of your contacts would like to take roughly 5-10 minutes on these at most 13 questions. Your answers are anonymous, please submit them here: VR, AR, MR Headsets Your help is greatly appreciated, thank you! (Survey closed 25/5-2021, GMT+1)522Views0likes0Comments
