[Solved] How do I properly add a wildcard domain to Edge tracking prevention exception list?
Found the solution, which was there in front of my eyes all this time but I didn't pay enough attention. Edge shows the correct syntax [*.]example.com so entering [*.]live.com is acceptable and fixes the issue! lesson learned: always pay attention to the info on the screen.Edge site permission settings doesn't make it clear that it includes tracking prevention info
The site permissions in: edge://settings/clearBrowsingDataOnClose actually includes the tracking prevention exception list that we add, but it doesn't make it clear so makes us accidentally delete all of our exception list. it should be made clear, via a notice or extra information, that site permissions also includes tracking prevention exception list: edge://settings/privacy/trackingPreventionExceptions please make this change. using Edge Version 87.0.664.8 (Official build) dev (64-bit)Where is Tracking Prevention in Edge beta for Android ?
I just received the latest Edge beta on Android and the change log says: Tracking prevention: select a Basic, Balanced, or Strict amount of blocking. but where? I searched every inch of Edge settings and there is so sign of it. I do have the new contextual search and NTP settings but not Tracking prevention. why is that? is Edge beta on Android having controlled feature rollouts too?Show details about blocked trackers and their URLs in the address bar
This is how it looks like when viewing what cookies a website is using you see they are detailed, shows the exact URLs and addresses. now this is how it looks like when viewing what trackers are being blocked on a website You see it's so Vague and unclear, you don't see any URLs, just Adobe, Google etc. doesn't say which Google or Adobe addresses are blocked. My suggestion: create 2 viewing preferences for Tracking Prevention in here edge://settings/privacy One Simplified and the other Advanced The Simplified viewing will be like how it is now, only shows names like Adobe, Google, Facebook The Advanced viewing will show exactly which URLs from Adobe, Google and Facebook got blocked, the exact addresses. here is an image from ublock origin adblocker to show you an exampleHey Everyone! I've only been using Balanced mode. 1400 trackers in 24 hours! 70% of those websites listed up there I never even visited! now Who's next ^^
