We had issues with Office Updates through Intune Rings and we started updating everything through Cloud and I think that is how Office updates are coming nowadays (If I am correct) and I thought they said that would be the best which Microsoft suggests keeping your computers updates? Lately I got a popup which I have never seen before. I click on update now the windows disappear. Having the users computers getting the updates directly from the cloud does it affect in any way? Why would it be an issue through Rings?53Views0likes3CommentsIntune app install issue with .exe installer
Hi, There is an issue while installing application from Intune, issue is limited to specific scenario, otherwise all application install works fine. Issue: When an installer file which is a .exe file runs, it opens another cmd prompt for short while then close automatically. In this case Intune install fails, if we run same command syntax manually, it works. Tried to wrap in start-process /wait, no success. Any suggestion? I’m experiencing a strange issue with deploying applications through Intune on Android devices. Recently, I’ve been implementing Intune in my company, assigning applications to specific groups. Each group contains employees who should have access to certain applications, and I’ve created several groups based on job roles. Until now, everything was working correctly – applications were either force-installed by Intune or available for users to install manually. However, since yesterday, I’ve encountered a problem. When I create a new group, add a user to it, and assign applications, the application does not appear in the store on the user’s device. Refreshing the Intune connection on the device doesn’t resolve the issue. Interestingly, when logging in with the same account on a different device, the application installs correctly, but if I assign another application to this same account, the issue reoccurs. Do you have any ideas about what might be causing this problem?44Views1like1CommentSlow installation of private application via intune on Android devices (full managed devices)
Hi, we have private application as APK file. I have published this APP as Private APP in Managed Google Play Store. I have assigned group of users to auto-installation of this APP. Installation is very very slow. After a day i have report that the app is installed on some devices. When i add to this group a device - then installation is very fast on this device. Why installation to group of users is so slow?7Views0likes0CommentsProactive Remediation in Intune doesn't pick up special characters
Hi All, I have a remediation script to uninstall an application. However, that will throw an error message even though it runs on PowerShell manually without an issue. Based on my troubleshooting, it seems remediation script doesn't identify the special characters contents in the file path. I would really appreciate it your help if anyone come across this before. surprisingly, although it gives an error, the command is executing and application is uninstalling without and issue. But I am curious to get rid of the error message for reporting purpose. Below is the command executing: Start-Process "C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\{7b06c930-fc32-47a7-8bea-5f1fb6099ee8}\elliptic_virtual_lock_sensor.exe" /uninstall /quiet -Wait Error message: Troubleshooting methods tried so far: Use cmd.exe '/C', instead of start-process. Used file path with start-process (Start-Process -Filepath ...... ) Add error action as either ignored or silently continue, but it still give an error in Intune. Start-Process "C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\{7b06c930-fc32-47a7-8bea-5f1fb6099ee8}\elliptic_virtual_lock_sensor.exe" /uninstall /quiet -Wait -erroraction silentlycontinue Start-Process "C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\{7b06c930-fc32-47a7-8bea-5f1fb6099ee8}\elliptic_virtual_lock_sensor.exe" /uninstall /quiet -Wait -erroraction ignore Used backtick ( ` ) with special characters ( { and } ). below is the command used. whenever I used this bactick ( `) it didn't work the script at all. Start-Process "C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\`{7b06c930-fc32-47a7-8bea-5f1fb6099ee8`}\elliptic_virtual_lock_sensor.exe" /uninstall /quiet -Wait Thanks advance, Dilan37Views0likes1CommentWhen i quit Teams, it stays active on my iPhone

I am a beginner using Intune to manage PCs (Windows 11) and Android devices. When adding a new PC with Windows 11, the following happens: The user logs into the computer with their email account from our company administration and starts Windows 11 (Business) and complete the Device Registration in the "Unternehmensportal". The user (who is supposed to be a standard user) is set up with an "Administrator" profile. If I change the user to a standard user (logging in with the company's admin account on the same computer), I can no longer install any software and get the message "Installation is blocked" (or something similar) when running the installer. There's no prompt for admin rights or an option to run the installation file as an admin. On another user's computer, everything works without problems. No policies are configured, at least not to prevent software installations. The user should not be able to install software independently, and standard users should be standard users when first logging into a new device. Who can help me?77Views0likes2CommentsExclude/Allow Particular non-managed devices from Conditional access policy without enrolling
Hello Experts How to Exclude or Allow some Personal ( Non-company Managed) Particular devices from Conditional access policy without enrolling or joining them to Intune or Entra. For Example I have created some Conditional access polices and now We want to allow some personal devices to be able to Login to Office or Outlook from some two or three personal Android devices which are Unmanaged or not company managed. Can we achieve using these Devices unique ID or ICCID ? If possible please give some hint or clue. Thank you.203Views0likes2Comments
