Hi, I was wondering if there any newer documentation on how to setup Modern Auth with Skype For Business 2015? I was reading this article: https://can01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Furldefense.proofpoint.com%2Fv2%2Furl%3Fu%3Dhttps-3A__techcommunity.microsoft.com_blog_skype-5Ffor-5Fbusiness-5Fblog_hybrid-2Dmodern-2Dauthentication-2Dfor-2Dskype-2Dfor-2Dbusiness_134751%26d%3DDwMFaQ%26c%3Ddwr0MjUrBqJCVHlZWcv1jg%26r%3DSKZxpzlmCJtnX1r1i1rE0KA4J4E6CkOA7kO_Idr5xrc%26m%3DSNabNm9tBTuQXwR2yhaoP9LPv4iKg7FLz7IZliin7Qu09un5jv0AVZVTHIO8s6MT%26s%3DBFSutEkHn-T-b92xusRwulnTjtzDrPgbx6tSdJRKl7k%26e%3D&data=05%7C02%7Callen%40sd69.bc.ca%7C3c048228a14945f0c70108dda1fa80ed%7C3280d4c237e747f9bb72057a43679c07%7C0%7C0%7C638844819604218028%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=SjXgBqzeID1IoE99hcdyG1RtEHdXdTdDV%2BtNqlV9u3k%3D&reserved=0 But it points to AppID that doesn't exist in our tenant.36Views0likes0Comments"We just need you to sign in, and then we'll get you to your meeting" hell
If I never had to use Teams, I'd be a happy user. Unfortunately some companies prefer it for video calling. So, say, I receive a meeting invite via email. I click it: and pick "Join on the teams app". Then this standalone app comes up: It wants you to log in at the bottom. Mind you I just had this thing open and had already logged in. OK, I click "Sign in" and then this GIF happens for about 2-3 minutes: and then eventually this: Clicking "Sign in" button repeats the cycle. I've seen this error about 6 months ago when I was forced to use teams. So I'm wondering, how many Microsoft engineers does it take to fix this?699Views0likes1CommentRecent Edge update attempts to sign-in to a profile every time a link is pressed from Outlook
Hi. In our set-up we only use local profiles for Edge. If a user attempts to sign-in anyway, they're met with a "Your system administrator has not granted xxx@xxx sign-in permissions", which is fine and has been fine for at least a year now. However, the recent 8/8 update has 'caused the popup to appear every time a link is clicked in Outlook(and opened in Edge) which has caused our helpdesk to get multiple tickets from annoyed users. I cannot for the life of me find the setting which triggers this. I assumed it was the outlook context from the sidebar, but a GPO that completely disables the sidebar still causes this pop-up to appear. I am aware we can use the "RestrictSigninToPattern" GPO to allow the users to sign-in, but we are not interested in allowing the users to sign-in at all. We simply want Edge to stop trying to sign-in every time a link from Outlook is clicked on, just like it was before the .200/.203 update. Does anyone know what can be done about this? Is there a GPO that stops this behavior? Is it an Outlook setting? A Windows setting? Can we stop Edge from even trying to sign-in? tl;dr how do we stop Edge from trying to sign-in when a link is clicked in Outlook?Solved8KViews0likes3CommentsNew Teams is not prefilling UPN upon first start
As per my comment on the blog post I'm hoping someone can assist with a changed behaviour on the New Teams. We have domain-joined Windows 10 computers with Azure Active Directory configured to use pass-through authentication. We deployed the Classic Teams using the Teams_windows_x64.msi package with the argument ALLUSERS=1 Following deployment when a user first started Teams, their UPN was pre-filled, so all they had to do type was their password: This doesn't happen when we deploy the New Teams. We deploy this https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/new-teams-bulk-install-client using: .\teamsbootstrapper.exe -p -o "\unc\path\to\teams.msix" When a user starts New Teams for the first time, they are required to enter their UPN: We'd like the old behaviour! Can anyone assist?1.7KViews0likes2CommentsCode to sign did not received
Hi, I want to open up the Share point group and I need to sign in. When I was signing in, it says it'll send a code for me to sign in. But, I didn't received any code. After I clicked the Next button and wait for it to send me the code, it didn't. Is there any other way to sign in?562Views0likes0CommentsSkype for businesss Sign in event received after a lot of delay after restart from sleep/ hibernate
Hello all, Issue with my LyncClient is that I have observed a 2/ 3 minutes delay in getting event for SkypeForBusiness SignedIn after restart from sleep/ hibernate. This issue is not observed on development machine but in customer environment. I read somewhere that these events are received from SFB server and the delay can be because server takes time to sync the events with the client. I am registering for the event using following code during app startup Client.StateChanged += new EventHandler<ClientStateChangedEventArgs>(Client_StateChanged); Any assistance will be helpful.368Views0likes0CommentsTeams signing into old organization (same email address) Mac/Ventura 13.4
For the past week I've repeatedly had Teams give me a login error and enter a cycle where it automatically reboots. I have been able to fix it by force quitting, removing all the Teams keychain items and deleting Teams from ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft, then reinstalling. I found this solution in these forums, so thank you. But two days later the same thing happens again and I'd like to stop it from happening. My company is sometimes granted access to the Office environments of our clients and Teams keeps trying to sign me into a former client. I can see this when (after several application reboots) Teams gives me an error message and I see the client's name in the URL. My main/normal email address is the one that was given access to the client, so it isn't an issue of using different credentials. When I look at "My Account" in "Organizations" the client creating the error is not listed there. How do I remove this phantom/old organizational link so Teams stops trying to send me there?Solved1.5KViews0likes2CommentsUsers asked for 2nd MFA method
Hi there, starting today a couple of users reported that, seemingly out of the blue, they're being asked to configure a second method for their MFA setup. For example, if a user has configured to to use MSFT Authenticator app, he will be asked to provide an additional method. This doesn't seem to be widespread yet and we couldn't reproduce thus far. Perhaps someone of you knows what could be causing this. Thanks.Solved2.7KViews0likes3Commentsaka.ms/skypecap - An error occured.
Hi there We have a couple of Polycom VVX phones which are logging through aka.ms/skypecap. But it seems like the service is down, any idea what is going on? Or is there an alternative way to sign-in polycom VVX phones? CAP objects are hosted on Teams btw. Thanks, Luca644Views0likes0CommentsPolycom VVX 411 Signing out Users at Random
Hello, We are about to roll out Polycom VVX411 phones using SfB but in our testing users are getting logged out seemingly randomly between 7-30 days. They do get an error "Exchange authentication failed. Sign out and sign in again." on their Polycom phones about 1-2 hours before the phone actually logs them out. We are running Polycom UC Software version 5.9.3.2857 We have MFA enabled for our end users also. We are using SfB and Exchange online, nothing on-prem. Has anyone seen or fixed this issue in their environment? Thanks!9.6KViews0likes15Comments
