Hi, Download button disappeared again from the Stream view of the video when it is shared via Anonymous link using Can view Setting. Can view setting also wrongly presents the description as: Anyone with the link can view but can't download which in essence is true but it shouldn't be true for the Can view setting. When I switch to Can't download and Apply it and then go back to the link settings and choose Can view, I get the correct description: Anyone with the link can view. However, when opened, the video still doesn't have the Download button. Marc Mroz is this planned shift in regard to Stream revamp or just a unintended side effect - bug? Thank you for the effort. How to move videos from Microsoft Stream (Classic) manually
This article will focus on showing you how to manually move your videos from the Microsoft Stream (Classic) channels to OneDrive for Business, SharePoint, and/or Microsoft Teams today. As previously announced in October new Team Meeting Recordings will store OneDrive or SharePoint and customers can opt-out by running a this PowerShell Script. Starting July 2021 for all Microsoft 365 customers, all Teams Meetings recordings will now be automatically stored in OneDrive for Business or SharePoint. That will mean no new Teams Meeting recordings can be saved in Microsoft Stream (Classic). Having new Team Meetings recordings in ODSP has the benefits of allowing customers to utilize the various content management capabilities like setting sensitivity / retention polices on videos, making the permissions and sharing more consistent with the Microsoft suite, increased upload quotas for videos, making meeting recordings available faster, and enabling more benefits from the OneDrive for Business and SharePoint information governance that Microsoft Stream (Classic) does not currently offer. The Microsoft Stream product team understands that many customers have a good amount of content in Classic Stream. They are actively developing a migration process to help you in this video journey. Please follow the Stream roadmap at https://aka.ms/streamroadmapupdates for more features coming out for Microsoft Stream. Meanwhile this article describes the process of manually moving videos from Classic Stream to ODSP. Download Video from Stream To access Microsoft Stream, you can navigate to web.microsoftstream.com or in the Microsoft App Launcher click on the Stream Icon. Navigate to the video you would like to move to a new location by clicking on My Content. If the video was a meeting recording, click Meetings. Click the Edit Icon to navigate to the Video Settings. While in the Video setting, click the "Download Video" button to start the download process. Once the video is downloaded to your computer, then you can start working on uploading the file to OneDrive for Business / SharePoint / Microsoft Teams. Microsoft References to upload videos. From everything I've read, we should be able to host a video on SharePoint or OneDrive in order to share it in a teams meeting. It doesn't seem like this feature works. Stream isn't an app available in the apps list unless I use the one available in the chat window. If I select Microsoft Stream from the chat apps, it asks me to post a link to share with the meeting. When I input my video link from sharepoint, it gives the error "Please enter a valid Stream URL." It should be a valid URL. We've tested this numerous time with numerous settings, but even if we set it so that anyone with the link can view the video, it won't let us use the sharepoint link (from mysharepoint.com) to Stream on a Teams meeting. We can't watch videos by sharing our screens or windows because it lags too much. The only current solution we have is to use the YouTube app which seems to work better than the Microsoft ones. Is there a solution for this?2.7KViews0likes4CommentsUnable to upload Videos to the Stream (classic)
Hi All, we are getting this unable to upload videos to the Stream (Classic) because of reach 5000 video limit. However we have deleted 100+ videos and waited for about 3 days and the issue is still the same. I would appreciate if anything can do from our side except contact Microsoft support. Thanks, DilanSolvedwhen we record MS Team chat what will be the permission for this video inside MS Stream
In our organization we sometime record the MS Teams meetings, where the meetings get added inside MS Stream. but my question is about the permission for this generated videos? let say the MS Teams chat had 3 users (A, B & C) then can user D view this video by default? if the answer is no , then how we can add other users as viewers to this video?Share Vs Email when modifying the videos permissions
we have these 2 scenarios:- 1) we have a video which we want all users inside our orgnazation to be able to view it, but not modifiy it or delete. 2) second scenario we have a video which should only be visible to specific users. nowi access the videos inside the MS Stream admin >> and seems i have 2 options to share the video, either using "Share" Or "Email" as follow:- so what are the differences between these 2 options? and how i can achieve the above 2 scenarios?Share Stream Channel Externally via SharePoint site?
Hello all, I know that as of 9/2020 we are able to share individual videos externally, which is great! However, I was wondering if it's possible to embed a channel into a SharePoint site? We have a virtual preschool site that we have invited parents to join, and it'd be wonderful if we could just embed/share the channel with them that way. It would spare the the hassle of embedding new videos every week (or however often they add videos, it varies). Thanks in advance!Solved
