Search Broken - after windows updates
Hi all, Just a quick one. As ever - the windows updates seemed to have now stopped enterprise search from working. I get this:- Sorry, something went wrong The base type 'Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Internal.UI.SearchResultsLayoutPage' is not allowed for this page. The type Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Internal.UI.SearchResultsLayoutPage, Microsoft.Office.Server.Search, Version=16.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c could not be found or it is not registered as safe. Nothing online has resolved the issue including adding safecontrol entries to the web config files. Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this issue? What exactly is required to enable the modern page experience in SP 2016 on-prem server? I think wbaer's Feature Pack 2 Post alludes to this functionality. But I was hoping someone could clarify for me from a non-dev perspective. :D Cheers!
