Exchange Search failure
While running Test-ExchangeSearch on Exchange Server 2019, we are getting the following error message "Test-ExchangeSearch failed for database DB-XXX at 2024-05-23 07:09:28, SearchTimeInSeconds : 0 and Error : Mapi Error for mailbox database "DB-XXX": [Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Storage.IllegalCrossServerConnectionException]: Cannot open mailbox /o=XXXX/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Configuration/cn=Servers/cn=XXXXVM-SMBX02/cn=Microsoft System Attendant. Inner error [Microsoft.Mapi.MapiExceptionIllegalCrossServerConnection]: MapiExceptionIllegalCrossServerConnection: Monitoring mailbox [] with application ID [Client=Management] is not allowed to make cross-server calls from [XXXXVM-SMBX04.xxx.abc] to [XXXXVM-SMBX02.xxx.abc]. But when we run Test-ExchangeSearch on the server itself, it passes for the database hosted/mounted on the server but fails for databases mounted/hosted on other Exchange Servers. We have 4 Exchange Server 2019 configured with DAG and have 24 databases.
Outlook and owa search brings irrelevant results
Hi, We have exchange server 2016 15.1 (Build 2375.7). single server. no DAG. When I search for word ie "karsan" in outlook instant search, it brings all results starting with "kar" Owa search results is the same. Only Outlook advanced find brings correct results. Archive searches are fine. only exchange mailboxes are affected. What i tried recreated index on clients deleted guid.single on server moved a mailbox to another database and disabled indexing Issue happens on all clients and owa. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you
exchange 2019 outlook 2016 search problem
The problem is native from the beginning and is still present. We are in trouble with the search from outlook 2016 in online mode. We can find some results with a specific search query: (R: I: 2020 360-R: 20117- 1548GSC -A******** - Demande de pièce de rechange) * i censored some privacy info but searching for '2020-360' match all elements except for 2 specific items. Refining our search query, including other texts that is part of the object of the mail, can find also the target mails. with the query : 'Demande' we find all the items requested. We have verified the update level of the clients 2016, Office Professional Plus 2016 16.0.5095.1000 MSO 16.0.5095.1000 a 32bit we have a new fresh deployed Server Windows 2019 with exchange server 2019 CU 7 onboard.
