Propose system is changed to include new functions that operate within each Idea post: - mark as answer - like - sort by likes This would : - allow user to more easily drill down to the answer / most popular responses - allow user to browse similar ranked responses within an idea - complement the existing Sort, Idea Status and Label functions that already exist across ALL ideas921Views4likes4CommentsLink from Outlook task/appointment to the D365 entity that created it
When we create a task/appointment from D365 and it is synchronized with Outlook, only the title and description are copied in Outlook. That entity in D365 could have more data such as the account, contact, etc. When Outlook notifies us the expiration of these activities, we haven't this information and need to search it in D365 manually. It would be nice to have access from the Outlook task/appointment to the D365 that originated it. The most basic would be to add it link to the first line of the description or to the beginning/end of the title. Another possibility would be a specific field. Thank you.577Views0likes3CommentsSearch Interface that Integrates All Office Apps
Summary: Tag sections of work so that the important information is conveniently searchable rather than the whole page and can be viewed alongside work with the same tags across applications For example, allow dynamic highlighting, of notes from powerpoint, onenote and word, excel etc. that then formats that information into a 'box' that you can give tags (e.g. select information via a system like the 'capture selected portion' for screen-shotting on a mac). These tags can then be searched which will list each box with that keyword that can be scrolled through. This is because simply searching a keyword can give you excessive amount of hits that might not be that important to what you want, usually you can only view the results from one app, search only gives a brief summary and often you will only be able to view one search result at a time in a clunky manner as it will show you the full page rather than just the information that you want. This would be so helpful as a student as there are things that might have only been a footnote one day that I didn't pay attention to or can't remember which file it was originally from which a year later might have a whole lecture on and I want to compare notes. It may also have been a part of several different lecturers taught by many people which I organised in different apps (some powerpoint, some word) which on its own is only a small part but together gives a big picture view of completely different aspects of a topic that might be part of an essay etc. Great if: -each tag can be given a priority sub-tag e.g. definition, worked exam question/problem solving etc that specifies the order it will be shown in -it creates a split screen from the app you were originally working from -you could double tap to allow you to move around the 'box' and see the text surrounding what was tagged (particularly in word/onenote) -hyperlink the words that have been used as tags to quickly enter the splitscreen -you can save the search results into a word document or OneNote page (bonus if it can automatically update with new information or the boxes can be moved around into different orders) Here is a brief sketch to visualise my idea, left is the original app the user is working on right shows the search results.1KViews0likes1CommentDetect which Wifi instead of GPS to activate especific configurations
This idea came while I was using my laptop at the University. I didn't realize that I wasn't using a power saving mode and my battery was drown too fast. So, I thought... What if some configurations (like which energy mode) auto-active while detecting which wifi am I using? For example, when the laptop detects that I connected to the University or Office wifi, it automaticly activates the power saving mode. After that, when I connect to my home wifi the power saving mode deactivates and the high performance mode activates. I think this idea would be interesting because users won't need to use their gps location to activate this rutines. The idea could be apply to many "configurable" things such as the energy mode, brightness, volume (automute), blocking some programs (like videogames or distractions)... Thanks you for reading my and I hope my English isn't so bad (Sorry, i'm not native)1KViews0likes2CommentsSplit Microsoft Edge window with x tabs into for example 2 windows with x/2 tabs
Hi! I know my description wasn't so understandable haha i explain it better (I apologize in advance if the feature already exists haha): I'm a Microsoft Edge user, and it's great that you can have multiple tabs in one window, but at least in my knowledge, you can only "separate" one single tab at a time from its current window. So if you have a window with 9 tabs, and you want for example determinated 4 out of 9 tabs in its own window... it's lot of work to separate each one of them and then get them all 4 into their own window. I imagine the solution as "selecting" tabs (just like you can "select" documents in a folder) and then drag them all together out. Selecting with the mouse would be difficult, selecting by pressing shift and then click every tab you want to select would work i think. It would also be suuper helpful to be able to "name" a microsoft edge window. Imagine you're researching about idk technology, and soon the first 5 tabs you have are about general topics, and then you find something interesting, idk a new processor model and start reading about it, and that's other 9 tabs. And there you find info about the strategy they used, and that's other 6 tabs i think you got the point. I would then find it cool to be able to "select" the first 5 tabs, drag them out to their own window and name the window "general topics". And if there would be an option to save the window as a collection (the name and its 5 URLs), it would just be wow respect. Thank you for reading!!1.6KViews0likes2Comments
