I am getting an error while trying to test Out SMIME Extension in OWA (Outlook on the web) -S/mime works fine in Outlook Desktop Client, Issue is only for OWA -I have installed the extension using the link: https://microsoftedge.microsoft.com/addons/detail/microsoft-smime/gamjhjfeblghkihfjdpmbpajhlpmobbp -Attempting to access S/mime page in OWA settings before installation(or while extension disabled) shows the attached: -Link: https://outlook.office.com/mail/options/mail/smime -After Installation(enabling), It just keeps loading forever, Never stops or returns the error Accessing the Extension page: edge://extensions -> Select Extension -> Select "errors" shows the below: Error while receiving settings: [object Object] "Unchecked runtime.lastError: Access to the specified native messaging host is forbidden." Any idea? What could be going wrong here? (Keep in mind, S/mime works fine in Outlook Desktop Client)812Views0likes1CommentOutlook S/MIME issue - encryption makes mail unreadable
Hello all, since a few weeks some coworkers including myself expierence a strange behaviour in Outlook. All Outlook clients are set up to encrypt every mail via S/MIME. Some external contacts can't read those encrypted mails, that's why we deactivate the encryption for those mails over die encryption button in Outlook. If we then send the mail out, the mail appears as encrypted in the "sent mails" folder, the recipient can't open the mail and the sender itself can't even open it. It seems like Outlook has some major issues with the S/MIME encryption. Has anyone experienced any similar behaviour or maybe has a an idea what could cause this problem? Hi, on the latest version of Outlook for Windows is it possible to apply S/MIME signature or encryption based on email rules? For example, create a sending email rule that sign the mail if the recipient matches a specific domain or email address.1.6KViews0likes3Commentsworking with multiple S/MIME certs. - invalid certificate
Hi everyone, Following situation: Outlook Profile: Outlook Accounts: 1 Personal Account (Hotmail), 1 Work Account and 4 mapped shared mailboxes All Exchange Online! One Security Setting with a DigiCert Cert. for my work mailbox and the shared S/MIME works perfectly with all work-related accounts Then I decided to add a second security settings with a WiseID Cert. for my hotmail, cause I have one and I want to use it. As soon as I try to send an email from this account, this error message pops up... Okay, so I've made a second profile with just the hotmail Account set up and the security setting with the cert. for this email. Works perfectly... My question: Why does it work in a separate profile and not in my main profile with the other accounts? Thanks for every reply ❤️744Views0likes0Comments
