Hi everyone, I'm a bit confused with the Public CDN option. For my understanding if you setup a public cdn all the files that are allowed (IncludeFileExtensions CSS,EOT,GIF,ICO,JPEG,JPG,JS,MAP,PNG,SVG,TTF,WOFF) are accessible anonymous. This is also what is documented under https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/enterprise/use-office-365-cdn-with-spo I have setup the public cdn for a custom library and uploaded a jpg file. I can see from developer tools the file is loaded via https://publiccdn.sharepointonline.com/<mytenant>/sites/SiteCollection/cdntest/myfile.jpg?width=1600 if I browse the url while I'm authenticated it opens the file. If I browse the file while I'm not authenticated it shows an access denied. My question is, are these files really accessible via Internet if I have the url? or what is definition of anonymous? kind regards2KViews1like2CommentsSharing a recording of a Teams meeting/webinar with hundreds of external attendees
Sorry if this is a stupid question. One of my colleagues runs webinars in Teams with 600+ external attendees. He records the meetings, and the recordings are stored in his OneDrive. He wants to share the recordings with all the original attendees, plus anybody who wasn't able to tune in on the day. That's potentially 1,000+ people from outside our organisation. Is Stream (on Sharepoint) suitable for this purpose, or is it mainly intended to be used within an organisation or tenant? Up until now, we've been uploading the recordings to a third-party video hosting platform.Public Preview - Strange Behavior
Everyone in my org is under the Follow Office Preview by virtue of the global default Teams Update policy. However, some folks are on Office Current Channel (Preview) but do not have the "P" on their profile pic in Teams and don't appear to be on Teams Public Preview. At the same time....some folks are on the preview channel for Office and actually DO have the letter "P" and are on Teams Public Preview. How is this possible? What am I missing?Public Teams Live Event prevents MSFT accounts from joining
A client created a public Teams Live Event, they informed us several people had trouble joining. Anyone can join the event anonymously, no problem. Also if they are logged into the Teams website or Teams app using a M365 Business account, that is in a different tenant and not a guest of the organisers tenant, they can join no problem. The problem only seems to be with MSFT accounts, the outlook.com/live.com/hotmail.com personal type MSFT consumer accounts. If user is logged onto Teams app on mobile with MSFT personal account then they get a message that the device is not trusted. If user is logged onto Teams windows app with MSFT personal account then they end up in a logon loop or if lucky get a message that access is denied because they are not a guest of the organiser M365 Business tenant. If user is logged onto Teams website with MSFT personal account they get a message that access is denied because they are not a guest of the organiser M365 Business tenant. How can a meeting be open to all to join anonymously, but if you have a MSFT personal account and you've authenticated you are not allowed to join? Doesn't make sense to me. MSFT 365 Business support advised me my client needs to create a website advising people with MSFT personal accounts to sign-out of Teams, or use an in-private browser. I find this ridiculous.Solved5.3KViews2likes17Comments
