MS365 Project Drawings
We have a strange issue with drawings in MS Project. We draw a text box and we save the file. if we open the file again the drawing is gone. If we open the file on a different computer the textbox is showing. I've uninstalled project but the problem stays. Is there anyone here who has a suggestion were to look. MS Project mime type is Application/vnd.ms-office
I have Plan 3 MS Project install on my machine and when I create new files in MS Project the mime type is always Application/vnd.ms-office why is the MS project mime type is not Application/vnd.ms-project I have check the reg edit under Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type i can see Application/vnd.ms-project and the extension is mpp

Hello, For several days now we have been receiving errors when publishing a project, errors that can be found in the configuration part of project online (queue management). An example of an error is shown below: General Queue: GeneralQueueJobFailed(26000) -UpdateSRA.UpdateSRAMessage. How can we get the details of the ULS logs? What does this type of error mean? Apparently it comes from resources and assignements but how can we get more detailed information? Moving a Project 2021 licence to a new user
Does anyone know how I can move a Project 2021 license to a new user? I purchased a licence for Project 2021 in June of this year, and has a friend load it on his computer with is MS account. I want to get it back from him, but we cannot figure out how to do it so I can intall and use. The other user uninstalled it, but it remains tied to his account.How to download desktop client from Project 3 plan
Hi, I am new to Project and about to purchase on premise Project professional 2021, but to ascertain the usability of Project, today purchased Project 3 plan (monthly) in the hope that I get Desktop client to test for a month. As you know, Project professional does not allow trial download, so I have to route to Project 3 plan. Now, issue is, I am unable to download the desktop client from this Project 3 subscription. In the Apps, I see option of installing Project (image below), if downloaded, I get set up file names 'OfficeSetup.exe', and if I install it, office 365 is installed, but I cant find Project. Hi, I'm having a problem with the task copy-paste functionality, which I use very frequently, in the most recent release of Project Online Desktop Client. I'd love any help you can provide. Description of the Problem: Recently, when copying tasks in Microsoft Project Online Desktop Client, only partial task data is being copied and pasted. Previously, when selecting an entire task row (including summary tasks) and copying it, all task-related data would be copied, including: Resource assignments Work Assignment units Duration Start and finish dates Predecessors and successors Task constraints (e.g., "As soon as possible") Notes All sub-task information for summary tasks (with correct indentation) Upon pasting, this data would be transferred in its entirety, allowing for efficient duplication of task structures and bulk modifications using find/replace. Now, when performing the same action, the behavior has changed. After copying, only the task name is pasted. The following issues occur: Incomplete data transfer: Only the task name is pasted, and no other task details (resource assignments, dates, durations, etc.) are carried over. Loss of summary task structure: For summary tasks, the sub-tasks are not properly indented; instead, the sub-task names are pasted as independent tasks, with no hierarchical structure. Task constraint issue: Pasted tasks now seem to have a "Finish no later than..." constraint applied, which appears to be derived from the original finish dates. This suggests the finish dates are being pasted as fixed constraints, overriding the original "As soon as possible" constraint that the task originally had. It seems as though the copy-paste functionality is not pulling all data fields from the task row but instead is only capturing a subset (task name and finish date). This behavior is different from what used to happen, where all task attributes would be included in the copy-paste operation. Is this an intended change or a bug? Has anyone found a workaround to ensure all task details are copied when using copy-paste functionality in the Desktop Client? Can I adjust settings to restore the original copy-paste behavior? Could this be related to a recent update or settings change in Microsoft Project? Are there any known changes to how Microsoft Project handles copying tasks between project files, or perhaps with Project Online Desktop Client specifically? Hi, I am struggling to find right software for a production scheduling application, for a fast moving manufacturing environment. Eventually I reached to Microsoft Project plan 3 free trial. I find it promising but it is missing the possibility of adding machines etc in the projects. I request to advise on: 1. is the Project right product for a production scheduling purpose? 2. In what form, I get Project so that I get features such as adding machines etc? I am bit confused with Microsoft products available (Project 3 or 5 or Project desktop), before I buy the license, I need to confirm if its possible or not? 3. Does Project desktop still available to download for individual purpose. Please bear with me if this is not the right forum, please direct me suitably.
