Hello! I have a case where an user is missing his Permission tab in his calendar. If he goes to the calendar view, right click his calendar, selects propeties he should have the "Permission" tab. OS: Win10 x64 Outlook 2016 (office365) Although he dosnt. Ive checked his permissions through powershell on his own user by using this command: Get-MailBoxFolderPermission -identity firstname.surname@domain.se:\Kalender There i can see: Foldername = Correct folder User = Found his user Accessright = Owner Although, hes unable to see this tab, really strange. Ive been googling about this, found some people that had similar problems- but no resolve for this. Anybody experienced this before?16KViews0likes5CommentsAccess to bespoke tile.
Hi, We want to create a tile to our intranet, see attached image. We have some external stakeholders who have @investni.com AD accounts that are synced up to Azure and have access to certain resources. We want our staff to see the tile but NOT the stakeholders. When I add/edit a tile it doesn't seem to give me any restriction options and just makes the tile available for all under the organisation. Is it possible to restrict a tile to certain AD groups or is there another way to achieve this result? Thank you, Ollie1.1KViews0likes1CommentSome External Users "no results found" in Permissions
Got a weird one that doesn't make sense to me. Got a client tenant in O365 with some external and internal users. I go to O365 admin, I see the external users. I go to SharePoint site collection user info list, I SEE the external users. Users have been granted permission via sharing via email address, they accepted and have permission to the site. When we go to either an Assigned To field or Add user to group dialog, no matter how you search for SOME external users, you get "no results found". Again, they are in O365 users and in the current site collection user info list. What's weird is for an Assigned To field, type ahead doesn't work but if I just type the name and hit resolve, it finds it. Other external users can be found via type ahead just fine. I've dumped the user list from O365 users admin and compared all the values, one of that is visible and one that's not, there are no differences. Am I crazy? Any ideas?5.4KViews0likes7CommentsAre visitors of an O365 group site legit?
I had an Office365 consultant here and he told me that if I put visitors in a SharePoint Teamsite that is connected to an O365 group, this is a bad practice. He explained, that an O365 group (team, calendar etc.) does not have visitors and we should avoid doing so. However, many people here want to give some other people reading permission. Often people that are no direct collaborators should at least view some documents. The consultant told me, that putting people in the Visitors group is not straightforward and not recommended by Microsoft. The alternative should be using a communication site and publish the read-content there. But my users struggle a lot with this, because they do not understand the purpose to copy files to a communication site. (Not to mention that they are of cause not able to create a flow to do this) For me as an admin it also seems pretty complicated to publish things to a flow, when live could be so easy, just adding people to the visitors group. How do you handle this? I thought a short time about sharing a link, but for many files this also is not practiacable...Solved3.4KViews0likes6CommentsQuestions on Permissions management
Hi Community One of our customer who wants to use Teams/Sharepoint/Exchange, but they want to manage it from 1 single point. For example, they have 3 groups. - Management - Team Lead - Sales So when they make 1 new user a member of Management, it should also get the rights from Team Lead and Sales. And when we make 1 new user a member of Team lead, it should also get the rights of Sales. Similarly there’ll be ‘n’ number of Groups to be managed. Currently, they’re using Office 365 Security Groups to achieve the same, but it limits the control only to SharePoint resources and not for Teams and Exchange. Questions: Can we leverage Dynamic group membership type + Conditional Access to achieve this requirement? Any other best practices would you recommend?1.9KViews0likes5CommentsConditional Access (require compliant device) not working with Forms
Hi everyone, I experienced a strange behavior today. We have Azure AD Conditional Access enabled and require a compliant device for full access on all webApps. Meaning we only allow browser based access from every non compliant device including limitations on downloading and saving files on such a device. Unfortunately we found that with Microsoft Forms you can download the results of a survey to your client version of Excel and also save it on the local non compliant device. Can anyone help with that?Solved4.8KViews0likes5CommentsOffice 365 - Unable to Download, print, or sync when using Chrome or Firefox (but works in IE)
I recently configured Conditional Access in Office 365 by selecting "Allow limited, web-only access" in the SharePoint Admin Center, under "Unmanaged devices). All the devices in question are managed and appear under Azure AD Devices as "Hybrid Azure AD Joined". My issue is that if I go to Office.com in Chrome of Firefox, and then go to OneDrive, I receive the message stating "Your organization doesn't allow you to download, print, or sync..." However, if I go to Office.com in IE and then go to OneDrive, I do not receive that message, and I have full functionality. Has anyone encountered this before? If I disable the "[SharePoint Admin Center]Use app-enforced Restrictions for browser access", I have no issues, so I know it's directly tied to that. I just can't figure out why Chrome/Firefox do not work properly. Thank you in advance! I have a few Guest Users defined in my M365 tenant, as well as seeing a few "#EXT# external accounts (which each appear to be directly associated with their respective Guest User account) listed in my Active Users list. How can I determine what internal resources these guest user accounts have been granted access to?3.9KViews0likes1CommentStrange behavior in O365 Outlook since latest update -
Since O365 updated on our machines we get the following issues: Requests to re-enter and/or change passwords - all machines - happened on our mobile devices, also, where we are running Outlook - this is ahead of expected expiry time. On our Windows 7 Pro machines: Sending attachments from the Office Application itself (sharing via email attachment) gives new permissions errors (we have multiple "OneDrive" locations in Microsoft, with different user-id's - all are authenticated on user's machine - and this has never been an issue before this update). This issue does not happen on W10. Sending attachments from Outlook by using the Attach File function does not give the same errors as sending from the originating application (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. - "sharing" from these) on the W7 Pro machine. Any hints as to what is going on, please let us know. We were aware of some OneDrive security enhancements and wondering if those have rules that impact this - however, we do not get specific errors - just the attached, which really does not tell us anything - and this is new as of 8/7/2018 - version 16.0.10325.20082 update (W7 Pro Machine). Latest update to our W10 is 8/1/2018 - version 16.0.9126.2259. We have auto-update on W10, and alerts to update on W7 Pro. Mobile iOS updates through App Store updating. We are running Windows 7 Professional and Windows 10 Professional; ios 11 on our mobile devices. Thanks to anyone who can help us - there are workarounds, but this is very much an aggravation.1.7KViews0likes1CommentSetting up a group in Outlook
Hi I am new to 365, I have followed the instruction to sharing a SharePoint page, I have come to setting up a group but then get a message stating 'This group does not allow addition of guests due to company policy' Is this something I can change. Also if I add a new user, will I have to pay for them as part of my month subscription?2.9KViews0likes2Comments
