PSTN Calling
162 TopicsCloud PBX - Auto Attendant - Transfer to External number
Hey There! In the process of deploying a proof of concept for auto-attendant at my org. Wanted to know if there is a way to have a menu option transfer a call to an external number. My use case... Caller dials into main Auto-attendant "... press 1 for sales, press 2 for customer service...", when the user presses "2" i would like the autoattendant to direct the call for customer service to an external PSTN number, one that handles our call center. IS this possible, will it be possible, any workarounds? Thanks in advance for your input.Solved15KViews5likes25CommentsPSTN Calling, Call Queues and Auto Attendant Guide

We have always been asked "how much WAN bandwidth is required for SFB based on X numbers of users" ? If we didn't set required and expected bandwidth right for customers, I am very sure you will persistently hear "poor Audio/Video quality and performance" from them. It's critical that we have a base bandwidth requirement stipulated and aligned customer's expection from the very beginning to ensure that customer is fully aware of how much bandwidth SFB will potentially consume based on a number of combined scenarios and to determine if a customer's current network meets calculated SFB bandwidth requirement. I devised a very concrete and verifiable bandwidth requirement calculator for that. I don't mean this to be a laser-like-precision or military-grade-precision, but I did design this calculator to have a micro-torch-like-precision with continuous improvements along the way. Whenever we meet with customers, we would be able to calculate SFB bandwidth requirement confidently and comfortably using this excel-based calculator. Please stress to customers that this calculation is "only and strictly for SFB" - No other traffics are considered. I made this calculator extremely simple and easy to use while maintaining accuracy. All you need to do is just "select number of concurrent users in respective scenarios" and you are done - nothing could be simpler than that. It takes anywhere from 3-5 seconds when answering a call from a Call Queue to be able to speak, is there anything being done to shorten this time? In testing we have seen that Polycom handsets take the longest, and USB headsets are usually the shortest, but it is still a significant amount of time.8.6KViews2likes9CommentsSetup PSTN Conferencing in Microsoft Teams
Microsoft just released Teams PSTN Conferencing service right before Microsoft Ignite. First of all, ensure that you assigned PSTN conferencing license(s) to user(s) Login to Teams Meetings > Schedule a Meeting http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-05/561745.1.png 4. Setup a new meeting, add attendees as follow. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-05/87273520.3.png For now, you cannot invite external users as attendees in Teams yet like you can in SFB Meeting Invite, I believe you can do that in soon future. So, if you need to invite external users, just copy the invite message and email them. Attendees received meeting invitation email as follow, http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-05/02500.4.png Meetings > click on meeting invite and Join button. I invited two users, one user is my internal user who received the invite email, I manually copy the invitation email and send to the other user, who will join the meeting using his mobile/phone; both joined the meeting, you will see a user is using his mobile number to join and while my internal users use teams client to join. The external user called +6531570124 (Toll) number to join the PSTN conferencing. It's surprising to take note that I cannot join Teams meeting using my SFB client though I can see the invite in my SFB client's meeting calendar, when I click the meeting link, it brings me to either use web browser or use Teams client. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-05/56804.5.png It’s also noted that I cannot invite external users and dial telephone number -- yet. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-05/4621.6.png107KViews2likes2CommentsPSTN Data Extraction
Hi Everyone, I am working on the creation of customized reports using the Teams usage data for my organization. I want to extract the PSTN calls usage data for this, are there any API's available for this from Microsoft. From my research till now I understand that most of these are deprecated by Microsft for PSTN data. Thanks in advance!1.1KViews1like1CommentUpgrade your SFB CCE or risk calls failure
