OneNote for Windows 10
3 TopicsHow can I get onenote 2016 as default view on teams onenote tab without making the user open in app?
I don't like the navigation view of Onenote, it is not nearly as clear and clean as the 2016 version. I created a notebook in 2016 one note and want the same options and view for the users of that notebook to occur in teams. I added the onenote tab (because 2016 onenote is not an option) and although the content is there now the view/style is underwhelming. I want 2016 onenote to be the one note tab in teams so the user always gets the nice view by default and without extra steps to get it. Please advise how I can get this set as the default. I already set 2016 as the default apps for protocol wherever possible but the team's tab is not a possible option from what I'm seeing so far.9.1KViews0likes8CommentsNot able to open Onenote from Browser or App in SharePoint or in ONeDrive
Hello I am not able to open my OneNote document from SharePoint Online, I am getting following error This section was originally created in an older version of OneNote. When I dry to open from using App, getting following error This section was originally created in an older version of OneNote. However I am able to open OneNote from local OneNote 2016 client. Is this normal behaviour or some limitation for OneNote with SharePoint online. Are we missing any settings somewhere? Thanks Avian2.3KViews0likes1CommentEmbedding a Sway into OneNote
I am experimenting with embedding objects in OneNote. There are a few services (objects) which can be directly embedded into OneNote just by inserting the URL onto a OneNote page, such as YouTube video, GeoGebra, Sway and some others. (I'm cross posting from the OneNote Community - since I'm not sure whether everyone here is following the conversations there.) Some users have demonstrated that one can wrap other objects in a Sway, by embedding it in an iframe in Sway. The Sway is then inserted into OneNote. That way you can embed almost anything into OneNote that is embeddable. However, I've experienced some problems with this approach. E.g. I wanted to embed a PhET Circuit Simulation. My primary OneNote application is the Windows 10 app. I embedded the PhET Circuit Simulation into a new Sway, using an iframe, then I embedded the Sway into a OneNote page by pasting the Sway URL. As soon as I would activate (run) the Sway, the PhET simulation would open in a browser window - so not ideal, since it is not running in context on the OneNote page. When I open the same notebook in OneNote Online - it works as expected. When I open it in OneNote 2016, the PhET simulation loads and displays but is not interactive. I tried this approach with a different iframe object and had the same result, the object opened in a browser window. Can anyone else confirm that behavior or am I missing something?4.7KViews0likes0Comments
