OneDrive Search File Contents
OneDrive is no longer searching file contents. I used to get search results from file contents before but all of a sudden it's showing results only if it matches the filename. What could be the issue? Pls help Update: Microsoft has finally fixed this issue. I'm getting my search results as expected. Others, pls share your experience.
One Drive Access Block via Conditional Access Policy
Hi Microsoft Intune Team, I have a query regarding the OneDrive for Business access blocking to a specific users or group from a location based access. Suppose if I choose SharePoint Online App from Client Apps Tab through Conditional Access Policy I will not be able to access the SharePoint and OneDrive App Access. But if I want to block only OneDrive App or from Browser based OneDrive block, shall we choose the highlighted app mentioned below snapshot which is being provisioned from Enterprise Applications. If yes please provide the steps for the same.SS11: Datahoarding Suggestions - Save PDF, Save Page, Save Images, One Drive, Web Archive, etc.

Various suggestions about download/save in easily way were already reported before. Here additional suggestions: 1) remember to add save as pdf in menubar PRIORITY 10 2) remember to add save as pdf as a button PRIORITY 9 3) remember to add export page as a button PRIORITY 9 4) improve integration with onedrive, this means: 4a) i told you about overlay button over photos etc to save it. remember to add even a onedrive integration 4b) add a setting where we can define some onedrive path, and then we can click save photo, movie, pdf to such path inside right click menu, menu bar, via extension button or using a shortcut. 4c) add a way to save pages as pdf in one drive. in batch mode would be cool too, for example i tell you "every reddit link, save as pdf in onedrive in background" 4d) same but export the whole page in onedrive. automatically too. 5) webarchive integration. show links in webarchive or faster way to save pages to webarchive 6) inside bing, an overlay over the picture to save it in onedrive, without need to open full image or full page (this mean directly on the small image). 7) a way to backup automatically all bookmarks as pdf and as whole page in onedrive 😎a way that if i select some links in history you do 7) too 9) same as 8 with collections 10) same as 9 with links that i select, for example if i see in wikipedia a text with 5 links, i select this and click save as pdf 11) batch save multiple tab as pdf in onedrive and to mac too. 12) same but with export webpage 12b) same as 11,12 for the whole window 13) better integration of onedrive during various workflow, this means quick access via an extension or something other 14) dragdrop zone in eagle style/dropmark, this means i dragdrop x images to this drop zone and then i can select save to onedrive or to mac (with option to select optionally which folder). PRIORITY 7 15) backup history to onedrive 16) backup collections to onedrive 17) backup bookmarks to onedrive PRIORITY 8 18) for 15-17 remember to add safety folder, this means if i delete links or other, i still see it somewhere (= keep all versions!) 19) ability to backup setting of edge to onedrive 20) ability to save bookmarks page (or some folder) to webarchive in batch 21) same as 20 for selected links in history 22) same as 21 for whole tabs or windows. 23) ability to save a screenshot in onedrive with background process. 24) ability to save all submitted files to feedback center in my onedrive (in case we need it for other situation). this is not my case, because i use external cloud, but maybe for other users. 25) or integration of onedrive with feedback, instead of posting links 26) ability to play quickly videos from onedrive (without need to visit page/bookmarks). so something like shortcuts i wrote last time <od or via a button extension. maybe even add a random play mode and a remember what i watched last time, so that once i write <od oc you play last episode of occalifornia, from the exact position. instead if i write $$<od or something similar you play a random episode (check https://link.ws/edgess7) 27) ability to generate bookmarks from a onedrive folder. this mean if i have video 1-20 inside folder a, you create a folder a in bookmark with url 1-20 28) ability to save files offline, in netflix style, where you delete it after 5 days for example. so this is not about using the button "download". you save it inside a temporary edge folder. 29) drag drop from one drive to tab doesn't work 30) same if i drag photo from tab 1 to tab 2 and i release this in onedrive 31) if i select x file in onedrive, no option to choose "open in tabs" 32) check the drag drop option to onedrive web (no matter if i do it from collection, bookmarks, history) PS: generally all suggestions should implement both save to onedrive and save to mac option. same for save as pdf and export webpage. would be better if different thing can be done automatically in background and maybe with closed tabs (like saving pages to webarchive). would be cool if you can support save pdf/page from a logged account, so avoid to save as public webpage (because in such case we see "please login"... optionally we can integrate archive.is support, but at the end webarchive is the main used. to integrate 2 different services can maybe be complex for developers. i still think at least one should be available. I had the following queries for One Drive (they apply to both iOS and Android): 1) I wanted to know how often, and how quickly, photos from 'My Photos' folder will sync with One Drive (if I 'sync on mobile data' is enabled). From experimenting it isn't instantaneous, but usually done within an hour or two, and trying to understand the justificaiton for the time. Does One Drive 'check' every hour for example)? 2) If I delete the copy that has uploaded to my one drive, but not in my photos folder, will it re sync to One Drive next time the App syncs 'checks'? I contacted Microsoft and they responded (in a surprisingly efficient and informative way which is a nice change for any custoemr servcie team) with the following, which I believe helped answer my Qs: "When Use Mobile Network option is enabled in the Camera upload settings, photos or videos from the phone's gallery will be uploaded to OneDrive even when your phone is not connected to the Wi-Fi. The time taken to upload the photos to OneDrive can vary depending on the size of the file, number of files being uploaded, speed of the Mobile data received. When the Camera upload is enabled from OneDrive Settings, OneDrive will continuously check for new photos and videos from your gallery. For example, your photos and videos has completely uploaded to OneDrive, but if you take a fresh picture or record a new video, the same will be uploaded immediately. Please note, this applies only when you have allowed to upload both on Wi-Fi and Mobile Data from the settings. OneDrive does not upload a photos or videos twice from the same device if the file that has been uploaded to OneDrive is deleted as the same metadata will be recorded in the OneDrive. This is to ensure that your photos or videos are not duplicated. Yet, you will be able to manually select the files from the gallery and upload it to OneDrive. We hope this answers your question. Suggestion (SS): 40 Classification: DATAHOARDING On Vivaldi i see different people posting other suggestions related to hoarding, so i decided to post here my other suggestions too (part 1 https://link.ws/edgess11), even if i know not all users will use it. I know that such suggestions can be reached (or at least in some parts) via scripts, extensions, terminal or macapps and are not the main focus of browsers. Said that, if you are interested read the post, otherwise skip it. I give you simply ideas, and such ideas are really hoarding focused. I know that this is maybe not legal for all websites too. those are just ideas. First we start with a feature that i never discovered before and after trying it i discovered in opera for mac we need to use option. i tried on edge and is not supported 2) i already talked about overlay button with both integration to mac or to onedrive as destination, or save to different folders in right menu, or drag drop download, or other https://link.ws/edgedatahoarder. another option would be to add a download button below each video and photo, no matter where. 3) about a smart select feature i already reported you before. Implemented on datahoarding activities means select 20 links and download all pdf at the same time (or other files). 4) a feature to detect images, document, movies, pdf in the site and download all that at once, or download only pdf for example. About images, would be better to download the full image, and not small pictures. 5) maybe add both option save to mac and open pdf in tab and maybe using a different destination, so download to /user/blabla/pdf and maybe sorted by source website. in such way we can directly read the paper too, and if needed we can copy that to other clouds directly once you implement the suggestion of importing in onedrive or you can directly integrate an option save to onedrive and to mac at the same time. 6) a way to copy a single link to a list and then copy the whole url in this list (this doesn't mean to use edge collections). once we are done we could use such lists to download files via other web apps, or mac app or terminal 7) a way to submit url to terminal directly, by adding specific terms (example https://www.pair.com/support/kb/paircloud-downloading-files-with-wget/). so we can manually add terms for wget, youtubedl, etc.. once we visit a page, we click right click or on the menu bar and select send to terminal and then we select wget or ytdl, or other. 😎integration of 7 for 6) 9) if i select 10 tabs an option to copy urls and maybe add support for 7) or 4) 10) a way to save such things to favorite without need to use bookmarks. in such way we know exactly where we get such files if someone ask us where we get that. the problem is that files show such metadata, but a lot of times is missing. 11) about 10) the feature of yesterday https://link.ws/edgevvss1 can help too. 12) a way to autorename all downloaded files, example if i use macuser A edge profile B i want on all my files a name like " xxx - macA edgeB" 13) renaming can be used for other goals too, like add the title of the post to the pdf, the url, or other information. 14) smart macos auto tags: we configure specific rules "like from website xx add tag xx" and add tag macA and edgeB too (related to 12.) 15) optionally add comments, but tags are much more useful. 16) like 5) an option to download files by source urls in specific folders. 17) torrent support like coccoc (i already reported that as comment in another post) 18) integrated vpn (same here) I copy the wish of another user here tooSS46: Hey Edge - voice control

The same for all other examples You can even integrate a smart Hey Edge, where i can combine my manual and Hey Edge actions. Example: i'm reading a pdf. at the same time i say "Hey Edge, pdf right once i say NOW". then i read pdf on tab 2, 3, 4, 5. Once done i say "NOW" and you export all pdf to the right (based on the tabs where i requested this rule). This means in the same time i can close and open new tabs, you do the action only once i say "NOW". Such "NOW" actions can be implemented in so many workflows and would be a great productivity boost.
Newly created folder (with Power Automate) not syncing automatically on Windows
Hi everyone, I don't know if this is a temporary bug, but I have not found any other topic discussing this and I figured that maybe someone has already come across the same issue. Our customers use a List and when they create a new line in it, a Cloud Flow triggers and creates a Sharepoint folder with the same name as in the List Title, and then copies the Sharepoint folder link into a column in the List. This part works fine. What is weird is that any folder created with this flow doesn't sync automatically on Windows Explorer. If we manually create a file, either from Windows or Sharepoint, then everything syncs (even the folder created by Flow). Are we missing something in the flow, or is something else causing this that we are not aware of? Thanks a lot for any help that you will be able to provide 🙂
Throttle copying our data
GoodDay community , We are supposed to switch over so that our users end up using OneDrive as their home drives and Copy a lot of large files to Azure Blob. We thought we had everything ready to copy during our testing but our network got so saturated due to the bandwidth consumed. We opened a ticket with MS premier support and our assigned PFE engineer to see how we could throttle Azure Blob and throttle down the copying speed to OneDrive. Microsoft said there was not a way to throttle and our google searches came out with nothing. We are looking for some software that is "reliable" but can throttle copying data to OneDrive and Azure blob. (Azure blob to give you an idea is sucking 80% of our internet connection (just one server). While budget can be an issue, we do not care at this point as long as we can get something reliable. We do not want something that does blackout hours as our operation cannot be interrupted at night. I am hoping we are not the first ones to run into this situation . Notice : my question posted on the other communities , and I still have no dependable answer ! Thanks
