Anyone in GCC have success with org asset libraries? Is there a place to provide feedback to Microsoft to enable this for GCC clients? https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/organization-assets-library Alternatively, can anyone provide information why Microsoft is prohibited to providing this to GCC accounts?1.8KViews0likes5CommentsOffice templates are not reachable via Content Delivery Network
Hey, I'm facing an issue since months and cannot find any solution to it even with the Microsoft Support so I want to share my problem here. I configured in SharePoint Online a library for using with Office templates, like many times before. So the employees can open e.g. Word then go to New -> customer domain name and see there Office templates there. It was working for some time and then suddenly it stopped working for every employee of my customer with the error message "you are not signed in or your cached credential has expired". This message appears directly under the domain name within the New site in Word. We tried with signing in and out, reinstall Office, completly new installed notebooks, new creation of the template library, permission tests and so and nothing is working. Even stranger is the fact that this functionality is still working when the employees working from their local office but it is not working in any homeoffice working place^^ Of course we checked the conditional access policies and login logs in Azure AD, but no issue can be found there too. Do you have any hint for me? Thanks and Regards2.6KViews0likes3CommentsOffice client opens files on SharePoint (as Network Drive) as they are stored locally
Hello there, in our organization we have SharePoint on premise mapped as a Network Drive in every Windows machine. Of course we know it isn't the optimal configuration, in fact every now and then we encounter issues with file names too long, big size videos not streaming, etc., but it's still usable. It's been two days that a couple of users have this problem: when I try to open a file stored on SharePoint for the first time, the files opens, and I'm able to edit it. When I save the file, a little prompt pops up saying "Saving file xxx to local machine..." with a loading bar, like it's saving the file on the local PC, and not on SharePoint. In fact, my collegue noticed that the save icon doesn't have the circle arrows it has when a file is saved on SharePoint. To be clear: this is the icon you have when you open a file on SharePoint and everything works fine. It saves and updates the file on SharePoint. When you hover the mouse on the save icon, it tells you that it updates and merge the edits with the other authors. This one, without the arrows, is the one you have when you open a local file. When you hover the mouse on the save icon, it just tells you that it saves the file. Well, opening an Office file on SharePoint from those machines, shows the second one, like it's a local file. When I save the first time, the previous prompt appears, if I try to save once again a message saying "Document not found" appears. I then close the file, try to open it again and a message saying "Impossible to open the file" appears and then it suggests me the probable causes, like "File name too long", but I know it's not that the problem because I'm able to open the file and edit it normally on my machine. I did still tried to shorter the file name and opening from a shorter path but it didn't work. So it seems like Office is retrieving the file from SharePoint for the first time, but then it saves it on the local machine (in the temp folder? who knows). Then I don't know what it actually tries to do... Also, after the previous actions, if I try to open the same file from my PC, it says that is locked because is opened by the other user, so it doesn't even close the file correctly. We have SharePoint as a trusted site on all machines (GPO), and the access in the Internet Options is set to current username and password, because all machines are in domain. This is our standard configuration, which works on all machines. I tried to delete Windows temp folder, Office temp folder. I also deleted local files which had the same names as the ones on SharePoint, so that it doesn't try to open a local version of it (yes, sometimes it happens, and it usually solves the issue). I'm running out of options, do you have any ideas?1.8KViews0likes3CommentsOffice Apps in SP 2019 on-premise
Dear Microsoft Forum, I am currently developing a SharePoint for our department and we are using SharePoint 2019 on-premise. Is there a way that I can have the Office Apps, like Word, Excel, PowerPoint in our site? I already did the setup for the app catalog, with the DNS entries and so on. If yes, can someone give me a good source for how to do it? I can't find anything related to the Office Apps for SP2019 on-prem.
Ich bedanke mich für Hilfe!1.7KViews1like0CommentsSharePoint Online Sites not showing up in Office 365 desktop apps
I'm having an issue for which I can't seem to find a solution. I'm trying to open and save files to a SharePoint Online environment, but Sites are not showing in Word/Excel. I tried on multiple desktops, all running Windows 10 and Office 365 and using the same account. On one desktop I'm able to see my followed Sites, on another I get the message: "There are no sites to show right now". In Windows settings the account is showing up as work or school account. I would really appreciate some help. Thanks! Ramses70KViews0likes8CommentsUnable to create a new document from a content type
Hi, from a SharePoint document library where I have attached content types, when I try to create a new document from the library "New" menu and select the content type, it throws a windows error message saying : Sorry, We could not perform this action because Office do not recognize this command. Never had this problem before. It occurs in all my libraries where I have content types. I tried on another computer and same issue (tested on chrome and edge chromium) Update: This occurs when the library open by default in client application. Only thing that change recently is that I have enable the organizational assets to store Office document template but not sure it is related. Anyone having this issue? Thanks.7.2KViews0likes7Comments
