M365 Groups
4 TopicsHow to move an Email from a M365 Group Inbox to a other M365 Group Inbox in Outlook
We have replaced our public folders with M365 Groups in Outlook. For every customer project we create a new M365 Group and move the emails of the personal inbox to the M365 Group inbox. It has now happened that an email has been moved to a wrong Group inbox. It seems, that it is not possible to move this email from the Group inbox to another Group Inbox. Is this problem known and is there a suitable workaround availabe to handle it? I built an intranet on a Modern Communication Hub site. On each Department page, I want to add a people web part to display the members of the Depratment. Makes sense right? I wanted to pull in the company's existing M365 groups, but I cannot seem to do it that way. The only way I can is to go into SharePoint, create SharePoint groups (with "Read" permissions), and add members to those groups. Then I can get those users... That's strange as I thought I could add M365 groups and then pull from those groups the members to add them to the people web part. I know that The M365 groups are more like Security groups but I thought that functionality was there. What am I missing? #AskingForAFriend985Views0likes2CommentsNeed assistance bulk creating M365 Dynamic Groups and configuring mail properties via powershell
Hello community, I am able to bulk create M365 Groups (static membership) via the post link here - https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/how-to-bulk-create-microsoft-365-groups/4362214f-8be4-4aa2-830e-250eceea1507 This uses the 'New-UnifiedGroup' command and works great for static groups. However, I am not able to create these groups to be dynamic. For M365 Dynamic group creation, I have to use the New-AzureADMSGroup command. My issue is, the 'New-AzureADMSGroup' command doesnt allow for the same settings as 'New-UnfiedGroup'. For example, I want to Create Dynamic M365 Groups, along with description, sending requirements, disable welcome message, etc. Many of these features are not available with New-AzureADMSGroup, however New-UnifiedGroup doesnt allow to create a Dynamic group (only static) Do i need to create with New-UnifiedGroup, then use New-AzureADMSGroup to convert to Dynamic and finalize settings? Thanks in advance!3.1KViews0likes3CommentsMigration path for migrating Group mailboxes
Anyone familiar or experienced in migrating M365 Groups from tenant to tenant. We have CodeTwo licenses but CodeTwo does not do Group mailbox migrations. Alternative tools we looked at are MigrationWiz from Bittitan and Kernel migration. However, we aren't sure how effective these tools are when it comes down to Group mailboxes in particular. One thing we have noticed that these tools need really high privileges such as Global admin and do not support MFA for group mailbox migrations. Would appreciate any comments from someone who has been through a similar migration and the tools they used?1.1KViews0likes0Comments
